    Snow White animation cell!

I suspect this thread will be moved, and if so it is moved with my blessing. I just want as many people as possible to know about this: the Redlands Library is holding a fundraising gala this Saturday night, and as a part of it they are auctioning several items through ebay. One of them is an animation cell from Snow White. In the photo it appears that the rabbits and groundcover are on the same sheet of acetate, but in fact they are not. All indications are that its the real deal. And very cool.

There is also a Jiminy Cricket cell, although it is unknown what film it is from.

I have a feeling there might be some people here interested in bidding. Believe me, if I had the finances right now I'd be outbidding everyone.

    Neat!
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

    Re: Snow White animation cell!

A little more info on the Snow White cell: the acetate cell of the two baby rabbits is from approximately 11 minutes, 10 seconds into the film and is the two rabbits on the far left side of the burrow. It is the first close-up of the animals reacting to Snow White after her flight through the spooky forest.

The grassy background that comes with cell was appearantly done seperately, and then placed behind the rabbits when it was originally sold in order to highlight them.

Ah, cool. When did you live here?

And yes... I'd LOVE to bid on it.
