    Disneyland website format change!

The Disneyland website has now change its format to match its Florida cousin. The page now also has the new (terrible) north facing Google maps just like the ones Florida has.

Although the Spanish portion has not been touched...yet:

    Here are the new maps:

This is going to be a problem for DCA.

Not all portions of the website have been touched like Hotels and any info pages.

    PS. WTF is this?

A zoom in show a bus bench...why are they showing bus benches...wait there is not even a bus bench over there. Sorry, I have mapped out the resort on Openstreetmap and I know the areal images by heart and where did they get this from.

As a newbie to the DLR website (and DLR all around) what is the "problem" with the DCA map? I am sure it is obvious to someone who has been to the park, but I'd appreciate a quick explaination, TYVM.

I'm not real sure, but maybe it's because when you actually walk into DCA you are facing south, so if you have a north-oriented map it's 'upside down' (if that makes sense) if north is at the top as you're looking at it. Most maps are north-oriented, I think. I just turn them which-ever way if I'm walking in another direction so that direction is at the top, but that's a little hard to do on a computer, although I've been known to turn my laptop sideways & tilt my head. OK i found every mistake I think. they forgot to put in the area of Big thunder ranch where the charters do the meet n greet and the stage for the performing arts groups theirs no Pumba parking lot and no Toy Story parking lot. and the shuttles in the east shuttle area don't say disney on them.

but I really don't see the problem with the new web site. I just think Disney needs to spot check/read the map before they put it on the internet. Maybe the should let some micechaters spot check/read it since we know the park better than them. We do spend more time in the park than the person who made the map.

I looked at the new map.

Things I like: More stores and restaurants are shown. As a pure map it's better, that is, the relative locations for places and paths are better placed.

Things I don't like: When you click for details for individual locations, there are a lot fewer pics, and (as far as I can tell) no video.

That layout didn't come until 1-2 years after opening when they merged both parks onto one big map. Opening day DCA maps were much like they are today, minus Cars Land and a bugs land. I kind of like the new maps on the site, but I still think I prefer the current park orientation on the park maps at the turnstiles.

I like the individual parks home pages. Nice to see The Happiest Place on Earth used so prominetly again!

I wish they would have used a picture of the complete castle before two of its spires went missing this year.

I like the new website. It's easier to navigate.

The new website says the height restriction for the Matterhorn Bobsleds is 35". (Isn't it 42"?)
