Well there ya have it then. I've seen a few things posted in other sites about people getting married in line to star tours, outside the Tiki room, just little quickies you might say....where it's literally 5 minutes or less. Just curious if it would really be that big a deal.
Disney policy regarding on site, or in park weddings is pretty clear. Unless you go through Disney weddings, you are not allowed do it.
I know this because I am a Disney Bride, and saved my money to get married at the DLH hotel in the rose court garden. Having had long discussions with my Disney wedding planner, if you are caught getting married in the park without permission/paying for it, you will be escorted from the parks, with the possiblity of a lifetime ban. They take it very seriously and do not appreciate anyone trying to do this.
Would you try to sneak into an upscale wedding venue to get married there without paying for it? Most likely not, why would you think it would be any less wrong to do it at Disney?
This is a business for Disney weddings, and there is a reason for it, and restriction's, again for a reason.
JMOP but just because you love Disney, and want to get married there, but can't afford it, does not mean that you or anyone else should try to subvert a company with written policy's about this. Have other's gotten away with it? Yup, but that does not make it right.
Get married somewhere else. However, before you do:
-write a set of custom vows, separated into 5-10 lines
-each line should referencing the them of a specific ride or fairy tale
-Memorize vows, take a trip to Disneyland
-record yourselves saying each vow while on the appropriate ride
-edit the recordings down into a single video of your vows
-play video during ceremony, and recite your vows along with it
-Make a few recordings of each vow. You might not get the best one on the first take (or maybe the first take will be the most charming)
-try not to name any attraction specifically. stick to themes
-when filming, remember, the viewer needs to understand where you are
@ virgoinab......Thank you for your opinion but it seems you are under the impression I am trying to be sneaky...it was a question not a statement of fact. I have a call into the Disney wedding planners and an waiting for a return call. I know how much weddings cost there, I've done my homework....we aren't looking for a big wedding ceremony only a vow exchange just us nobody else....hence why i asked. I bet you had a beautiful wedding tho...thanksagain
