The drivers seat with the steering wheel on Indy is the best ... my friends like to pretend yell and blame me for when the car stalls lol .

When I was little (not quite my first trip on IJA, but the first time my family was seated in the front row and I was offered to sit in the driver's seat), I was convinced that the steering wheel actually did control the vehicle and was far too afraid to sit in the driver's seat--I made my dad take the wheel on that trip. It took a few more years for me to realize that cars were on a track and that the steering wheel was just for decoration.

Above all: I like to be on the end of a row, on attractions that have more than two seats across. I'm pretty claustrophobic and if I'm sitting in the middle I really don't like it.

Other than that, front row on dark rides and Soarin', I don't care on coasters.

Re: Where do you like to sit on rides?

    It depends on the ride.

Pirates - doesn't really matter. If I don't feel like getting wet I usually try to get a spot in the middle to the back, but I'll sit anywhere.

Splash Mountain - I have gotten to the point where I do not ever want to sit in the front. I prefer to be in one of the back two seats, preferably the very back.

    Thunder Mountain - no preference

    Space Mountain - no preference

Star Tours - No preference but it is nice to be closer to the back just because the 3D bugs me a little bit.

Indiana Jones - as long as I'm not on an outside seat I'm good in any row. I always feel like I'm going to fall out whenever I'm seated on the edge.

Matterhorn Bobsleds - the ride is terrible now, but the middle seems to be the least painful spot. It still hurts but it isn't as bad as the front or the back.

Radiator Springs Racers - I like the middle seat but it doesn't matter. I don't make crazy requests to sit in the middle.
Please... put Guardians of the Galaxy in Tomorrowland.

On the railroad I like to sit in the first car close just behind the tender and engine so I can enjoy all that sounds, smells and sensation of heat coming off of the engine.

On the Mark Twain I never rush to get to any spot; after the rush of people usually go the front or the top, I find the least crowded area and just enjoy the ride from there.

I will occasionally wait the extra time to sit in the front seat of space mtn.

On Story Book Land Canal Boats I will try to sit where I have the best view of.... "never-never land"

Re: Where do you like to sit on rides?

Big Thunder Mountain is the only ride where I ask for the back row; all the rest (including Splash Mountain) I prefer to sit in the front. Let me tell you a little story of why.

A couple of years ago, before my front row seating preference, I went on Space Mountain and sat in the third row of the first car with my brother. As we got off the ride, he says something to me: "I didn't know they added water to Space Mountain."

I thought this was odd, since I certainly didn't feel any water, and I definitely didn't think there should be any on the ride. This grossed me out. It left no other explanation than someone in front of us either spit or vomited, and my brother was part of the casualty.

From that moment on, it was the front row or nothing.

I don't choose anymore. My daughter has that duty now. And it depends on the attraction, except for Big Thunder. It must be the last row.

Even Big Thunder? The front on big thunder is really bad.

Anyway yeah depends on the ride. I don't know what is with this back on splash so I stay dryer mentality. In the front you get a good spray and your head and torso gets wet. However in the front your shoes stay dry! It's way nicer to keep your shoes dry, so I prefer front on splash.

Oh and Indiana Jones always the front outside edge. Preferably the steering wheel seat.

Skyway - I used to like sitting backwards.
PeopleMover - in the first car.
Pack Mules - near the front of the string or mules.
Mike Fink Keel Boats - up top.
Mine Train - Last car (same as Knott's)
