Disneyland artifact - What could it be?

While walking through a shop called Stage Nine here in Old Sacramento I came upon this Disneyland relic and was wondering
"What the heck is it?" let's hear your guesses (whether factual or not). I think it has to do with some kind of lighting.

Is the one below a replica or is it part of the same thing? If I had to guess I'd say it looks like part of a light from the old Nature's Wonderland or Stagecoach Ride?

Would it have had the obvious and prominent branding though?
Credibility is to be sought for. Credulity is not. Sadly the latter is our normal human state.

The first thing that popped into my head is that the bottom one is some sort of vintage hat. The tow holes on either side of the brim would be for a strap or tie. No idea what the top one was unless it's the press for the bottom one.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

It's a plastic hat. I've seen old photos/video of people wearing them in the park. My guess is that they were sold as a cheap means of protecting yourself from the sun if you became unexpectedly hot, kind of like how they sell rain ponchos now. The top one is probably the mold they used to make the hat.

    BTW, I love Stage Nine.

yes definitely a press, since there doesnt appear to be any real weight to the press, it appears its just a plastics press

Is it just me, or is the mold/press set at the top of the board different from the plastic hat at the bottom of the board?

I think it looks different because it is the outside of the mold, the inner image is necessarily smaller from the thickness of the mold itself.

the lettering style and location is different so it may be a mold for a similar item, but not the same.

the top one, the letters are larger and go almost halfway around.

the bottom only goes about a quarter around.
