    Do You Wave?

We're just getting in from our July visit. We had a FABULOUS time, but I came home with something heavy on my mind, the lost etiquette of waving. When I first went to DL, everyone waved to and from the train, automobiles, boats, whatever! That tradition seems to have been lost now, and that makes me sad. Whats the use of being in the Happiest Place on Earth if youre not going to go out of your way to be extra friendly? Doesnt that make everyones experience better?

I wave. Even if Im the only one standing there, looking like a fool. Even if its only for the sake of the lone CM waving from whatever. Do you wave? And if not, will you begin to?

The best I can do right now, my wife waves all time when we are in the parks and I will do better next time we go, because a wave is a silent smile and I like to smile.

    Re: Do You Wave?

Depends on mood and whom I am with. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't, some rides more than others - usually the "say goodbye and give them a wave, don't worry about being embarrassed, you'll never see them again" jokes (which the USH Studio Tour has been cribbing lately...) gets me to wave every time.
Credibility is to be sought for. Credulity is not. Sadly the latter is our normal human state.

We always wave from the trains and on IASW and other rides. We love it when people wave back!

I never wave because I am a shy person in public.

    Re: Do You Wave?

If I see someone waving I wave back, but usually I'm too busy looking at the decorations or talking to the person I'm with to notice. I will wave back if I see them, but I'm too shy to be the first one to wave, if that makes sense.

    Re: Do You Wave?

We are big wavers, and there are always people waving back....when on Casey Jr, on Storybook Land Canal Boats, and on the train (especially in Critter Country). I have only noticed that there are less CM's on Storybook Land Canal Boats who wave, but not less guests.

    Re: Do You Wave?

HOnestly, I generally don't wave too much. Sometimes a little, but not usually. However, since it seems to make a difference to some people, I'll try to make a point to do so.

We wave. Usually from the train or from the boats. Especially if we see kids.

Here's the thing. You are around 1000 people you will never see again in your life. Its the best way to come out of your shell.
If you see a cute yellow lab puppy with a yellow cape, WAVE! It might be us! (Or it may be someone else that lurks here!) Thank you for asking before you pet! Next trip, Dec 22-Jan 3rd.

I am a waver. Especially to the little kids. I even wave to ducks and say Hi, I do realize they will not wave back.

    Re: Do You Wave?

It depends on my mood. I'll usually wave but not always.
I am so sick of Frozen I can't even describe the feeling.

I do not like waving to other people that I don't know. When I do, it feels very awkward to me. If a CM waved to me, then I would likely wave back, but not the other way around.

I love to wave in disneyland. Not so much in the 'real world' but in disneyland I am so happy I will do about anything. Haha
    Missing Disneyland!
