    Another Trip Report

I visited the parks on Monday the 22nd. And have noticed several interesting things even on a weekday...

First off the Jolly Trolley has been turned around. I guess for better pictures:

During the parade Mary Poppins horse has broke down.

Also a good thing that I have noticed is these people signing for the parade for people with hear disability. These two were performing an excellently and did not take off those smiles the entire time.

This new both has pop up across from Disney Jr. I guess the there are trying to just use these old ODV carts from the construction.

Limited Time Magic: I experienced the Muppets Christmas Carol it was a nice addition to the parks and I only hope they can do more for the LTM. This was a low budget solution that they could have done a lot more.

After the movie I went over to White Water Snacks on Dusty's and Fishbulb's recommendation I enjoyed the Caritas Burger. Its the best burger on the property. I only thought 1/2 through the burger to stop and take a picture.

In line for Space I noticed this pole near the end of the line and it continues to show the lack of maintenance on the attraction not to mention that most of the lights are still out after the first lift hill.

On the way out I saw this hole on the wall near the Market House. I hope its only temporary for the construction of the Market House.

The Caritas Burger looks really good - but it's hard to tell from the photo what's in it. Is that shredded beef? Could you please describe it for us burger lovers? (Thanks.)

Its good believe me. Its shredded caritas meat on top of a beef patty (I prefer no cheese on mine) with avocado and salsa and shredded lettuce with a side of fires. It was amazing.

Their menu description: Carnitas Angus CheeseburgerWith jack cheese, seasoned pork, pico de gallo, served with seasonal fruit or French fries

So, angus beef and pulled pork, Carnitas = pulled pork.

Me: "Yes. It happened after a recent trip to Neverland."
Peter Pan: "Well, you can dunk your head in the pond behind us, if you want."

I was going to wonder what a "caritas" burger was since it was misspelled several times in this post. Ok so shredded pork atop a burger? Delightful.

    Same here, heh.

For those curious, "carnitas" is indeed pulled pork, as WildeNight pointed out. It comes from the word "carne," meaning meat, and the suffix "-ito/a," which, along with a variety of other uses (like indicating affection or establishing a more friendly tone), can emphasize the smallness of the subject (for example, "pequeño" = "small", while "pequeñito" would translate more along the lines of "tiny" or "little"). So "carnitas" literally translates to "little meats," as in the little shredded pieces of pork.

    Thanks for the TR, brianpinsky!

The Grand Californian. Here's the menu: http://allears.net/dlr/din/menu/men_wws.htm

Has anyone else noticed that the description for the White Water Snacks on Disney's official page is actually the description for the Tropical Imports snack stand in Adventureland? I'm going to email Disney about this. Hopefully it's fixed soon.
