Most Appropriate Farewell Song For Innventions Should The Building Be Plowed Over

Judging by various rumors, Innoventions may not be much longer for this world. If the time comes, the "beloved" attraction could die without ceremony....its building plowed over....and Tom Morrow gruesomely buried alive. But, just in case Disney decides to hold a farewell ceremony, what song would be most appropriate during the occasion?

Psht. I can name that tune in one note.

Robert Downey, Jr. and Tom Morrow can hug eachother and sing bothe songs as a duet.

In Innoventions case, it will be a long awaited "beginning's end" that could begin to come soon enough.

LOL. Nice. But seriously, it has to be "There's A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow". Nothing else will fit as well. That's what I voted for.

I vote Robert Shaw from Jaws singing:

Farewell and adieu to you fair Spanish ladies
Farewell and adieu to you ladies of Spain
For we've received orders to sail back to Boston
And so nevermore shall we see you again

I would want to pay tribute to what the building was, and not what it is currently. I would love the quartet to sing the closing lyrics and melodies from America Sings.

Seriously speaking, I truly believe that what lays ahead truly is "A GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL TOMORROW".

I love the Carousel of Progress!

I'd love to see a rendition featuring Robert Shaw and Julie Andrews together in a demented duet.

They should make a quodlibet of "There's a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow" and "Yesterday."

Re: Most Appropriate Farewell Song For Innventions Should The Building Be Plowed Over

I've seen all 3 incarnations of the building: Carousel of Progress, America Sings, and Innoventions. We didn't even go into Innoventions this week when we were there, I dislike it so much.

    As for a song:
"So long, farewell, auf weidersehn, goodbye...."
    (Sound of Music)

Or Woody Guthrie's famous, "So long, it's been good to know ya...."

1980-1984 - DLR (multiple single days or at now-defunct motels)
    1994 - DLR (off-site hotel)
    2007 - DLR (single day)
    2008, 2009 - DLR (BW Stovall's)
    2012 - WDW (PopC)
2013 - DLR (Candy Cane Inn)
