How many times a year would you visit Disneyland if there wasn't a Southern California annual pass, and you had to buy tickets at the gate like us out-of-towners? Park-Hoppers and such would still exist, but no APs? Would Mice Chat even exist without the photo updates and meets? Any thoughts?
As nice as the other parks are, we must always remember that it all began at Disneyland. Disneyland should be the crown jewel in the Disney crown.
With the cost to get in for just one day (park-hopper) I'd probably only go once a year, two if that.Too expensive at $70something a pop.

That's a good question. I guess like 4 or 5 times. But I might be more inclined to take advantage of a hotel package and make a weekend out of it. Otherwise, I might have to get a job at the park!

I am an out of stater and have an annual pass.
If I didn't have one I'd go perhaps twice.

The way I see it ... at least in SoCal there are ALOT of different entertainment options. I would just fill my time with them.
We didn't go to Disneyland for almost a year between August 2004 and May 2005 ... we were perfectly okay.

I'd use the "2fer" promotion once a year during the off-season.

If you only went once or twice a year, what time of year would you go? Summer, during the peak season? October when HMH is open? Christmas with all the decorations?

I would try to go in December before Chirstmas Break started so I could see Disneyland all decorated, but without the huge crowds.
If I didn't have an AP (WDW) I'd probably still make my summer trips, but I'm sure my quick weekend visits (like this weekend for Everest) wouldn't exist.
