While looking for collectibles from Splash Mountain on Ebay, I found someone selling Fast Passes. His auction said they were collectible Fast Passes from Splash Mountain and other attractions. It said to "commemorate the date of your trip" he would create one with the date and time of your choice, either in the past OR THE FUTURE. (Emphasis mine) He also said these are almost exactly like the ones at the park, down to the same kind of cardstock. The auctions seemed to have been removed.
I did a search on google with some of the phrases from his auction and found a website that seems to be his offering Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, and Roger Rabbit "commemorative" fast passes. He has a disclaimer saying that although they are good enough replicas to be accepted by Disneyland, he cannot condone such use and that they are for decoration only.
My concern is if people start buying these (75cents each or 4 for $2.50) in bulk and using them at the park, the fastpass lines would be crazy... and it would affect standby.
How can Disney stop this? Issuing barcodes that get read as the CM takes the fastpass?
(Note: I'm not including the URL. I found it by google, so you should be able to too. I don't want to make it too easy for people to buy these and abuse them.)
