It may very well sell those town market products still.

My point was Starbucks does not sell those items. You said:
I believe they sold fancy coffee and pastries in the Market House prior to this change.

As well as tins of coffee and tea and various drinking utensils.

Sounds like the inside of a Starbucks already
If you are going to include the coffee items and exclude the other items to prove a point that it

Starbucks doesnt sell those items yes, but a lot of the items within the store are similar to what a Starbucks offers

Though you assume the store is only going to be a 'typical' Starbucks, which it most assuredly is not going to be

That's what a lot of people said of the Pig Cafe, but is it not now a "typical" Starbucks with the loss of the hot food?

Is there a 1920s-1930s inspired take on the Starbucks menu and experience (excluding aesthetic treatments) across the Esplanade?

Universal does indeed have better theming than Disney now, and I've made a couple trips there this year. One trip to Disney in January, not since. Not as many rides, but the theme and atmosphere is fantastic.

Disney tries sometimes, but it also falls on its face, too. A lot more of the one than the other sometimes.

Look, there are plenty of anachronisms in Disneyland. They are totally unavoidable. I think the nitpicking over Starbucks is just that: nitpicking. This isn't the end of the world. People seriously need to stop living in the 50's. It wasn't as great as some folks would lead you to believe.
Well, I've pretty much gotten to the point where I have realized that there are just too many people who don't care about the anachronisms and the increasing impact they are having on the quality and integrity of the premier Disney park. As more and more people are willing to let the park's unique charm be degraded for WHATEVER reason, I am less and less enchanted with Disneyland. Eventually, I guess it will get to the point where I just have no real enthusiasm for the park at all.

I don't really see it as not caring, but more of an acceptance of the new times.

Is it people not caring about the anachronisms or that people feel that anachronisms are being seen where they don't really exist? I suspect the latter.

Let me ask you this, what is the difference between an out of theme, totally modern, non-existent for the turn of the century coffee brand and a bakery run or inspired by a british nanny which you were so vehemently (as was I) against? Is it just because you can get the coffee? Is that a reason to get rid of the charm of the Market House?

Acceptance? Or acquiessence? To me, it's the latter, which I equate with "not caring."

Although I'm sure calsig will argue differently, it definitely does come accross that since he likes the coffee, he's OK with the General Storebucks* remodel.
