I would love to visit the Soda Fountain someday. Hope you all had fun!

Rorex Tunnel refers to either John or Jack, Rorex, who has a window on Main Street. Some construction company is what his name is under. I think he made sets before being put on the Disneyland Project.

Thanks to both of you for answering my question. I had been unable to decipher that word --- tried reading it backwards, rearranging the letters, etc. -- but didn't consider the most obvious!

Awesome trip report! I love the soda fountain. For anyone who hasn't been you must find a way to get there I think it's neat. Oh and if you are a pin collector they have really awesome ones although they are all limited edition and sell out pretty fast. That sundae though is worth the trip alone that marshmallow creme is awesome!

As for the barn I will need to find a way to visit that someday!

Really?? I've been to the El Capitan Theater twice and I never noticed! Well, the first time I went was when I was really young (maybe like 7 years old?) and the second time I went we were late to the movie. Next time I go, I'll definitely pay more attention and check it out! Thanks!

It's pretty easy to miss actually. It's not a very big location either.

Re: Arriving in Disneyland, with stops at Soda Fountain, Carolwood, & Merry-go-Round

Back when I lived in Burbank, I used to peruse the Hollywood and Highland area quite a bit but sadly only ever made it to the Soda Fountain once just to look around. Everything seemed kinda pricey and that was 7 years ago. But I was also broke. I'm much more willing to spend money on things I enjoy now.

I'm not sure even that solves the mystery. Consider:

    Disneyland Carrousel ... Counter Clockwise
Griffith Park Merry-Go-Round ... Counter Clockwise
Santa Cruz Looff Carousel ... Counter Clockwise
Tilden Park Merry-Go-Round ... Counter Clockwise

If I saw the same Wikipedia article, perhaps the direction is more geographic (Europe = CW, North America = CCW) rather than what it is called.

    I'm so confused ...
