Are cast member tickets still HP for 2013?

First off, this is my first post. YAY!

I have two friends who work at disneyland. I asked them if we could be let into the park and one said that the tickets are no longer hopper passes, but the other said they are. So, you can see my confusion here! Does anybody know for sure? Don't want any surprises getting to the gate. AND, does the cast member have to be with us the entire day, especially if switching between parks (assuming they are hopper passes)? I don't think either friend will be able to be with us from 9-whatever time the park closes.

    Thanks in advance!

Usually you get handed a ticket at the turnstile to use in these types of situations. So once they get you in I don't think they need to be with you after that.

    However I am just guessing.

If a Cast Member signs you in, you will receive a park hopper ticket.

The official rule is if you are not part of the cast member's immediate family, the cast member needs to accompany you throughout the day. However, you can imagine how difficult it is to enforce this. You should be fine after you get in through the main gate. Just be sure not to cause any trouble in the park, because the cast member's name will be on your ticket, and they might get in some trouble for your behavior.

    This is correct.
You may have an issue if you park hop and the CM s not with you...as a result of this new rule.

it's not so much a new rule, it just hasn't really been enforced until recently, and even then it's usually only if its blatantly obvious or the guests caused an issue.
