    Shooting Gallery Hijinx

This was started a long time ago but the most recent attempt that I have heard was back in 2009. Does anyone know if using a powerful camera flash will set the whole thing off at once or have they since changed how the whole system works? This may sound really childish but we were going to try it for our son who is 5 and loves Jedi. We're going to the Halloween party all dressed as Jedi and we thought it would be fun if he could use the "force" to set it off while someone behind him makes the flash.

I always thought that the Disneyland ones used infared light but perhaps I'm wrong?

Only older shooting galleries than are not infrared will go off from a flash. When I was a kid the one at great America and the boardwalk would go off from a flash

Have an older camcorder with night vision capabilities?

Those usually include a powerful infrared emitter for illumination.

Take one of those, and make the kid's day, covertly.

Thanks everyone, we'll see what we can dig up. We just thought it would be a cool touch since he'll be a 5 year old Jedi being followed around by the Jedi Council and a Sith Lord.

Mmm.. yes.. the Dark Side needs more representation. Rock on with the Sithyness.

Me: "Yes. It happened after a recent trip to Neverland."
Peter Pan: "Well, you can dunk your head in the pond behind us, if you want."

20 years ago when I was a CM, the maintenance guys used what looked like a TV remote to test the different targets and actions.
