The point of City Hall is guest services. I'm sure if people ask about Thunder Mountain they would want those CM's to have as much information as possible.

I've worked in structural engineering, and I have never heard of something like this happening. It cracked the foundation????? What?

They were testing the other day. Why would they be running trains through if this compromised foundation was a problem?

It's not the Yeti from Everest...

Cracked the foundation to what exactly? I would say this is a completely false rumor...

I would say this is a rumor until and unless something official comes out saying otherwise.

A tower crane like the one I say last year is heavy, but not heavy enough to cause structural damage to a foundation, unless said foundation was already compromised.

When any type of heavy equipment operates on an existing structure, an engineering study is always done first, just so the structure isn't damaged.

I'd bet this is a rumor with no basis in reality.

This site would be more fun if every time someone posts a rumor thread there was a voting option for readers to vote on whether they think it's true or not.

I'm voting thumbs down on this one.

I know that they are doing clearance testing on the trains right now. So the problem is not to problematic for them to stop everything and repair the foundation.

It could be that the CM at City Hall misheard or misinterpreted the information, perhaps? It's like that telephone game we all played as kids; when a message goes down the line it gets misheard and changed with every recipient...it could just be an honest mistake on the CM's part.
