Re: Court of Angels IS going to Yesterland

So sad. Glad I took a ton of pictures when we were there. So sad. I'll never be a C33 member. Under the old price structure I could have probably swung it some day.... the new price structure... NEVER. I hope I can see COA once again through some kind altruism from a C33 member, and maybe even peek my head in the new lounge.

Club 33 is FINALLY becoming something more than a small green door enterance. Now its members will be able to enjoy some together time while they wait for their reservations, the concept before of waiting all day for your time to arrive while dealing with the, at times, crowded theme park could be stressfull. Now the clubs members will be able to enoy themselves in a private area with friends, enjoying a drink or two, while waiting for their reservations in the beautiful court of angels. I'll have to be honest, I couldn,t be any happier for the clubs members finally getting the chance to relax in a private area before their dinner

I think if you're going to take away this special, quiet spot, you best be at least replacing it with a good alternative! People have gotten engaged here, taken annual family photos here, and it's one of those spots that seems restricted but its not. It's just a little piece of solitude from all the chaos and there are several places in the park like this but I think each land should have several or at least a couple "stumple-upon" secret locations.

I too will never see this area again unless invited by a Club 33 member, which to date has never happened (but I dream still ). I am saddened to see it go from public access, but since I can do nothing to stop it, I am curious to see how it ends up. I love the parks and can look past what seems to be crass commercialism to the magic that never leaves for me. A gift of family visits from childhood with long lost relatives and re-gifted to me when I have gone with my own daughter.

I don't think anybody is faulting the members, and quite frankly, they do indeed deserve such a waiting area given what they pay for memberships. I think the consternation is that it is taking something away from normal guests. C33 wasn't taking anything away from guests because it was never available to guests. That's where the frustration comes from. The park experience is just a little be lessened through this exclusion.

A shame really. But I thought that this had more to do with the accessabilty issues for Club 33.

Stop complaining and step aside for those who really matter. Churro cart is right over there. Go...shoo.

Accessability issues could have been solved with $100 of plywood and carpet.

I love when corners of Disneyland are turned exclusive. It makes the park mysterious and wondrous. With the way the public treats the rest of the park i'm glad they’re will be corners protected by exclusivity.

Re: Court of Angels IS going to Yesterland

I have a good friend who has gotten her picture taken on the staircase in the Court of Angels on every visit to Disneyland since she was a tiny girl. In some pictures, as she gets older, are friends, boy friends, parents and sometimes just her. Seeing that album and flipping through it is a real snapshot through time, fashion, etc..

I'm sad to see her tradition go away.

I've been fortunate enough to have been to Club 33 twice. The experience, although wonderful in its staggeringly old fashioned way, could certainly stand to be improved. Too bad it has to come at the Court of Angels expense.
