Lol, yep that’s what i said. Bulldoze the whole place.
Also they aren't removing it so what exactly is everyone upset about? For all intents and purposes this is virtually a guarantee that the CoA will be protected and preserved. I’m just not seeing a downside to this.
I just took a look at NOS, and quite frankly, there's not much of an alternative for additional entrance opportunities. I think they did the best with what they had, but I still feel that they should have maintained the existing C33 entrace.
Even in the case of the entire park being removed, yes i think embracing that change is good. Living in the past doesn't really help me keep move forward (also something a dead guy said). I love nostalgia but change is inevitable. I prefer to look on the positive side of this and that is, this change while removing CoA from public access ensures that it will stay for some time.
On the one hand, I'm sad to lose the quiet, reflective spot that I've loved to visit for years.
On the other hand, I lost it years ago to the constant parade of "expanded merch opportunities" such as more HHM merch, "Pirates Cove" and a variety of other stores that have filled the place (or been in the process of being added/removed) on every visit for years now.
Given the choice between poorly themed merch expansions and losing access to the area entirely, I'm not really invested in the results.
Though I never really visit the Court of Angels, when I stumble into it every now and then it's amazing how sometimes I can just walk passed it without noticing. It's a real gem in the park that I'm very sad to see go.
What makes me really disappointed is the fact that Club 33 is meant to be exclusive. Part of the fun, at least to me, was knowing that you would only be able to enter through the green door in NOS. It was a hidden, kind of secret type of thing. Knowing where the new entrance will be doesn't seem as fun. That, and the fact that they're going to replace the entire area of where the Court of Angels stands and block it off to the public for something that only very few people ever get to experience.
