I'd be willing to bet that they don't get the communication they need from above, and rely on this site and others to get details.

Hope it opens before February 2014. That when I have my next trip planned.

Has there been an official announcement regarding an extension? I know the Disneyland park hours calendar lists the refurbishment past the 10/31 date. It also says that the are showing fireworks from 10pm (2 hours after close) to 5am on Mon/Tues/Wed. If one accepts that A is true because of that calendar then without an announcement, B must be true as well.

There has not been anything official extending the time, but I keep hearing more and more CMs say February.

They have scheduled some cast members for BTMRR testing as some of their shifts on the current work schedule. I believe it's mostly cast members that worked on the ride before refurbishment.
I think they will be testing in the very near future based on these schedules (they came out yesterday).

Just to be clear, Winter 2014 still means this winter, not next. Expect Feb to still be when it opens.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

From other statements they're already scheduling shifts for CMs on BTM.

My guess is that they're shooting for as soon as they possibly can but giving themselves wiggle room. It was a massive rebuild, it'd be silly not to really. My money's on around Thanksgiving with any delay past that caused by actual issues with the reboot rather than just dragging the process out.

I agree with around Thanksgiving. I think they will push to have it open for the majority of the Christmas season.

If it's true that testing is being scheduled, I think you're right on the money. BUT, just so I'm not terribly disappointed if it's closed when I'm there in February, I'm reminding myself that 'Winter 2014' doesn't officially end until March 20 2014. Better be open for dapper days. I couldn't handle two trips to DLR without my BTMRR
