Actually the Coca-Cola logo has changed over the years. Mostly subtle but changes none the less. If the Club 33 logo change is subtle as opposed to a total redesign then probably not big deal. If it is a full on change I imagine even the members will be upset.

And don't forget, when Coca-Cola attempted to "change and improve their product" with a "New Coke", all the good will and relations built up over a century, brought the company to its knees.

I will await judgement on the new logo as I am not sure of the extent. I am more concerned with the rampant miss information that the new club is to be themed to the Princess and The Frog. THIS IS CRAZY! There WILL be some inspiration, but the theme will NOT be solidly Princess and The Frog. WHY would Disney theme an elite club after a movie that was not really a solid success? This needs to be made clear as that is solid wrong information. As for the other changes like the Court, loss of buffet and new lobby I have to believe that given the history of the club and the personal Disney connection these will be for the good. As for the new member attitudes...I have not witnessed it personally, but can tell my the membership interaction the new members do seem to be rude and general a pain in the backside. I hope those issues can be resolved on a case by case basis with the membership team and if those who don't believe they are getting their worth fall out and not renew. Things change...and that is always hard. I have to believe these changes are for the best overall.

Depends on what the new looks is. If it looks like poop then I'll openly oppose it, but it could end up being nicer than the original for all we know. I don't see the point in hating or disliking something just because it is a change. Obviously Disney is creating a new Club 33 experience, so a new logo might be needed.

Re: Club 33 Logo Will Change. Are you happy?

Plus, they are just typical "new money" types who don't know how to act in polite society, so it makes them stick out even more as they bellow about their Club 33 membership.

I could care less what they do with the old breakroom and stockroom upstairs of the French Market. I could care less what they do with the logo. And Walt has been dead for almost 50 years and would have changed Club 33 three times over if he had been alive, so this expansion and update to the facility is decades overdue.

Why would a private extra-cost club for a tiny sliver of a fraction of Disneyland visitors matter to most folks who never go up there?

    wow.

So an Iron Man make-over of Club 33 would be fine, since most folks never go up there -- as long as they include a finishing school to teach those "new money" types how to behave in polite society?

Polite society? Are we in Disneyland or Austenland?

As to the OP's question...I'm curious to see what they come up with. Here's hoping they don't stray too far from the inspiration of the architecture and world in which it exists. Since I won't ever be a member (I'm not even new money!) they aren't likely to ask my opinion. But I do actually care about the continuity and integrity of all the design choices in Disneyland.

I like the idea of the Princess and Frog Jazz room. I wish they didn't have to take the Court of Angels out, but this club does look like it needs an update.

I'll wait and see, but the old logo is very subtle and understated, presumably because it was a secret club. Now that the secret's out, I think there's room to make it more opulant in order to match experience that you are paying for.

I think that I tend to agree with you. Now that the mystique of the club is gone, it has begun the transformation into a grandiose experience and it needs a logo that will match that.Remember that the current Club 33 logo wear is still available to members at the Grand California gift shop. Who knows for how long?

I think it is crazy to freak out before seeing the final result. Things grow & change, & unlike an old presidents historic room, Club33 I is still operating & will continue to change as long as it remains open. I can only hope Disney's new version can be an improvement & still capture Disney's vision/spirit for the place.

very stubborn response. You're basically saying everything he built was exactly how it was originally planned? I'm sure Matterhorn was meant to look like Swiss cheese & Disney envisioned metal poles & open spaces inside the ride. Or pirates was always supposed to be a boat ride. Like a previous member said, I wouldn't have been shocked if this place was already improved & expanded by Disney himself if he were still alive. Appreciate the special memories & hope what's coming is just as great or better, as no one knows exactly what the final results will be.

There could always be some hidden concept art that was NEVER shown, sure money was pretty much no object to the original designers but they were not gods no matter how much we like too perceive them as. They were human beings with limitations and not every idea they came up with got built; Big Rock Candy Mountain for one.

Somewhat excited, somewhat sad... treasure all of my C33 paraphernalia. Use some of it daily. Really hoping to see the new C33 next October (if we can swing it).
