Holiday innanaheim in the park,and red roof inn questions please.

are the rooms facing the harbor side over looking the park? I always heard that oneshouldget a room on the top floor so no noise from kids jumping on the floors would be a bother but how about down on the first floor by the pool ?

To get a Park view, you will need a room that faces the pool area (and thus the freeway). The Hotel is just north of DLR, across the I5 freeway.

Unlike some of the other Harbor Hotels (like HoJo's, etc.), the Holiday Inn is on the other side of the Freeway. It will be a good walk to and from the parks. Using an aerial photograph as a guideline, I would say that this Hotel is twice as far as HoJos (which some consider to be a bit far from the parks). My main concern is walking back at night, as the freeway overpass is huge and lonely. However, getting to the Days Inn ART bus stop also will require crossing an overpass:

Yes, but that same page also says:

"Cost is $3.00 per day for those 10 and older
Hotels in italics are near hotels that can use ART.
This does not mean the bus will stop at your hotel but close by."

The route map at the official ART website shows no stop at the Holiday Inn. You will have to walk to either HoJo's or the Day's Inn. And Hojo's is halfway to the park.

See above thread, there is a shuttle the motel uses to take us back and forth, no art, there own shuttle all is well, no need to walk or to try the art I called a few minutes ago.

ok, I got worried, and I called. they have there own shuttle and it runs all day and is 2dollars per day per person. so nowI amhappy! no art and I can go right to the park without stops. yeah!!!

Upon reviewing the Holiday Inn I saw the following:

"Transportation to Disneyland & California Adventure is provided by The City Shuttle."

I am glad that they took care of this.

ok, so I booked this motel for a room with 2 beds, can any one tell me what the best room might be, away from noise and one of the " good rooms" Has any one stayed here and can tell me when I call then which room to choose? thanks
I heard that bottom floors were the best, ( noise is up higher? and by the pool erea facing disneyland ,what do you all think?

The one time we stayed there we were on an upper floor (not the top) facing Harbor. Harbor is a busy street, and noisy, but nothing compared to the freeway. I think that one reason that the pool is always open is because it can't get any louder than the freeway (which it faces).

Anyway, as I said, Harbor is busy and noisy. But once we closed the door the room ws fairly quiet. I would imagine that the rooms that face the pool/freeway/DL are sufficiently sound proofed. If they are then I would chose those rooms.
