Re: How much do people like Kathy Magnum make a year?
Her name is actually Kathy Mangum. Not Magnum.
When Kathy was doing the Pirate's Lair project six years ago she was always very polite and gracious with the raft drivers who would shuttle her over every day for months. Most other WDI and TDA execs never gave the raft driver CM's the time of day and pretended like they didn't exist and the raft somehow magically drove them to the island on its own. Or maybe they just thought we didn't speak English and wouldn't understand them? But Kathy always would smile, say hello, and when she stepped off the raft she would turn around and look you in the eye and say something to the driver like "Thanks, Gary" or "Thank you, Brad."
Basic common courtesy to front-line CM's is rare in many executive types, especially from TDA, but Kathy Mangum is an exception and she's a very classy lady.
As for their salaries, the WDI reserved executive parking spots backstage at Disneyland behind Pirates are mainly used by two kinds of cars;
1. The cheesy company Cadillacs that Disney gives to VP's and above, but that VP's don't mind driving because Disney pays all the gas, insurance, taxes, license fees and maintenance on them.
2. Late model BMW 7 Series sedans, Porsches, and Teslas. Those are all cars costing around $100,000, and they never look more than a year or two old.
Take that for what it's worth. But WDI execs and senior Imagineers make huge amounts of money.
