    An Interesting Idea...

Everyone knows that Fastpass slows a stand-by line down greatly, and nowhere is that more evident than with Haunted Mansion Holiday. How? The FP machines were closed last year and this year during its first half at Halloween Time, and the lines proved more manageable for guests. This got me thinking...what if the FP area could become something more? Let me explain...

The FP machines will be removed, and the area will be transformed into a quiet area during the regular season. This could make up for the loss of the Court of Angels, as well as make one of the quieter areas of the park available year-round.

Now what about the holiday season? During this time, Jack Skellington and Sally can meet here instead of crowding walkways in NOS, and finally have a place to call home during their temporary stay.

    Any thoughts on this?

I really like this idea! Especially the part of the character meet and greet set up. When Jack and Sally come out and their is a huge line it can be very tough to get to HM and get past the area in general.

Could totally be a fun little spot. I agree!

Sounds like a nice idea. It would be nice to see the court of angels replaced with something else for regular guests

    Re: An Interesting Idea...

The Fp garden location as a MnG spot would run a very real risk of interfering with HM, the NOS train station and/or the restaurant. For that reason I'd seriously want it somewhere else. Beyond that, out of season the garden already servers the purpose suggested. I've had numerous quiet hours back there listening to the music.

Dead on with you regarding removing FP from the Mansion FWIW.

    Excellent idea.

I understand the 'concept' of FastPass - but it does not work.

Sounds good to me, I love the way they designed that area and I do wish it were open year round. I would definitely walk through there even if there were no Fastpasses.

Meh. It works for some guests, at the expense of other guests.

Perhaps they could arrange the area to be ramped up, so as to be able to see Fantasmic better. I don't know the layout all that well, so someone can correct me on this.
Doesn't have to be a severe slope, just so that heads are slightly above other heads.

I would love this to happen, but I can't see Disney creating a quiet spot, it's just dead space to them sadly.

As much as I want to say this is not true, it does seem to be that way sometimes.
