This is exactly how I feel about WDW and DL!

DL's deserved to be redone due to the nastalgia around the original submarine voyage. Although I do not agree with the theme they are putting in I still believe DL's Submarine Voyage has more value with being redone.

    Exactly.

That's why they are careful to keep the "Submarine Voyage" in the title.

WDW's "20,000 Leagues Under The Sea" resided within FANTASYLAND.
DL's "Submarine Voyage" resides within TOMORROWLAND.

Yet .... the "Fantasyland" characters of Marlin, Dory, Nemo and the rest will be residing in the last "sub" attraction in any Disney theme park.

If anything ... It should have been DL's subs to get the ax .. And WDW's should have been saved ....... with this whole "Nemo" idea.

    It's all so backwards.

And worse yet ... I heard the whole story on another website of what really went down with WDW's sub attraction .. and it's not a pretty story. Long story short ... certain departments sought to sabatoge WDW's sub ride so that it would never return.

WDW's sub ride closed in 1994 .. with a very close situation that almost brought the ride back to life.

Now it's a pile of dirt .. with a "Pooh" playground for tots.
You tell it like it is there was nothing wrong with our subs other than it was a high maitnace ride. As far as everything goes I liked it as it was but would have taken a Nemo or even Atlantis remake if it would have save our subs. Here is a site with the truth about 20k ride's sabatoge, also one dedicated to it. 20,000 Leagues Into The Toilet by ED Tucker A Crazed Fanboy Presentation , 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea - The Ride .

Well,I personally will be glad to see the subs come back.
I met my wife on a Yellow Submarine at a website group meet to save the subs, and the rest is History.

    Thank you Slue Foot Sue.

Oh yeah, me and my friends go cruisin' in a nuclear submarine all the time it's becoming so passe. That is why they're getting Dory and Nemo to make it entertaining so we won't get so bored with the day to day routine f riding around in a submarine under the surface of the ocean...

all the Nemo overlay is doing is making the ride appeal to a newer generation and plus why are we judging the ride before it is done...and why are we calling it an over lay when it is sorta a perminate thing....lets think of it as an expansion pack...

Yes it would have fit perfectly at WDW's. Finding Nemo in Fantasyland is A-OK but in Tommorrowland? Thats a big NO NO in my book.
