My pirates themed halloween display 2013

Getting closer. Should be complete in the next few days. We haven't set it up in a while so I thought the pirates should return this year. Pirates is my favorite ride.

This is so cool! I wouldn't mind having this in my house year round actually! We used to decorate the house pirates themed every year until last year when we were moving. I live in my own apartment now, so my decorating is limited
    "Who's she?!?"
    "Oh her? Oh, that's Wendy!"
    "A girl?!"
    "What's she doing here?!"
    "..and in her nightdress too!"
"...We were only trying to drown her..that's all."

Thanks for the replies to all of you. I will update the video when done. I will also take one with more light on things. It looks much better in person but thought I would share it here anyway.

Pretty neat. I'd love to do something similar... heck... I'd love to just FINISH my grim grinning ghosts or Jack Skellington.

yes...it's all about the trick or treaters. We don't scare anyone. Just let the kids and families have a little something different.

I hear ya. Build time isn't exactly my favorite thing. Especially being as mechanically challenged as me. But what can I say....I love the pirates.

    Nice setup!

Where did you get the motor to get the skeleton to move the ship wheel (helm)? I'm doing an improvised version of the seance room from HM and I need something to move the musical instruments in a circle. let me know!

Bought it at frightprops. I got the linkage also , and a pico volt controller to record the movements I want. It's the wiper motor with 2 speeds. I really needed the pico volt to make it move just as needed though.
