As long as they leave it at new holiday-themed jokes, I'm fine with it. However, if they start putting tinsel and ornaments throughout the jungle foliage, and attach a red nose and antlers to the lions, I'll have a real problem.

Re: Jingle Cruise - Disneyland Holiday Overlay to the Jungle Cruise

Forgive me for not adding more puns to the thread, but when I seriously saw the title, I thought of this song that plays on the Temple of the Forbidden Eye's queue radio, even though it is in no way related to the Christmas theme.

    Yip-e-ya
There'll be no wedding bells for today
Cause I've got spurs that jingle jangle jingle
    (Jingle jangle!)

This should be a fun thing to look forward to. The Jungle Cruise is now a parody of itself, so a funny Christmas theme should be very appropriate for such a thing. And hey, just because some jungle outpost is many miles away from home doesn't mean that the workers have to miss out the festivities, right? I wonder if they'll also add some time-appropriate Christmas music into the queue radio as well.

Just hope there's fantastic crowd control CMs who know how to keep the flow going and not recent hires.

No....This has to be a joke, right? Am I the dummy that doesn't understand that this is a joke immediately?

That said, there's definitely a "Dock the halls with boughs of Holly" joke to be made.
And they have to give the "Lost Safari" a Star to put at the top of the tree...The rhino could be helping them.
Santa Hats on the Hippos would also be good.
"Look, the lions got a zebra for Christmas, he's all wrapped up in black and white paper!"
"I don't know what those animals are- they must be Gnu Testament."

    Just brainstorming.

Darn I was really hoping this year we would get "Space Mountain: Race to the North Pole" this year.

I am about six thousand percent in favor of this idea. It has such potential for punning. And punning is one of the most dangerous parts of the cruise...

IDK, guys, this may be a tad much for me. I wouldn't mind a Christmas/Holiday themed spiel from the Captains, but I really don't think I want to see Santa hats on various critters or Christmas baubles on the foliage. Maybe Christmas themed decor in disarray in the safari camp, because it might seem 'realistic' that the safari-goers are celebrating Christmas? But just random decorations thrown on the various animals or in the headhunter village? Not so much, IMHO.

I love this idea and can't wait to see how they do it. I think it has a ton of potential!

Brilliant, instead of projected stars, project snowflakes
There is no right or wrong in this debate. It is simply a matter of perspective.

Ditto. I'd love for them to come up with a Christmas speel, but that's it. Don't advertise it and don't change the name to Jingle Cruise. If you want to add a few ornaments here and there on the ride, that's okay (for example, the lost safari on the pole could have the guy at the top could now have a Christmas Tree star in his hand as if he's trying to put it on the pole), but the name Jingle Cruise just sounds super lame to me. Go ahead and do a Christmas version, but keep it super low-key.

Well if they hang mistletoe down there, we'll all have to kiss the backside of water.

I feel like this whole concept sprouted from someone misspelling Jungle Cruise and then realizing the pun.

Re: Jingle Cruise - Disneyland Holiday Overlay to the Jungle Cruise

This is a great idea... Perhaps it will catch on. I mean if it's just a change in the script... why not make it relevant to the current holidays all year long? It's a smart idea, it makes the ride re-rideable(?) all year long.

Having said that, I really hope there isn't any changes besides the script, the boats, and the que.
