No, it doesn't make for an obvious land dedicated to either Star Wars or Marvel (put them in TL & DCA), but it does set up nicely for tons of classic Disney properties that still have a lot of marketing pull.

Re: Third Gate name game: What would you call it?

    Let's see...
    Disney's Fanchise Paradise
    Disney's Leftovers Adventure
Disney's We'll make it fit! Adventure
    Disney's Monstropolis-Marvel-Star Wars-Pandora-whatever-we-think-of-kingdom
    Franken-Park

Though seriously, I think they'll use something more like Disney's Heroic Kingdom or Disney's Epic Journeys. Those two would work and open themselves up to the Marvel/Star Wars themes pretty well, especially the second, which is vague enough of a name to even include Pandora, more Princesses or pirates... Though I'll admit "epic" is a bit over-used... but I can definitely see them using it regardless.

I like this, but seeing as the 3rd gate will certainly be Marvel heavy, and possibly have Star Wars attractions too, it wouldn't be appropriate.

I would LOVE to have a park based on nothing but Walt's era of Disney stories/films/characters. Classic DISNEY and nothing but.

Not sure if I like more "Lands" or "Worlds". If it's all Marvel... I like "SciFi City" since it's in a urban area with not a lot of space and it will be more compact.

Re: Third Gate name game: What would you call it?

It will probably something vague and grand sounding along the lines of what many have suggested.

Here are some of my more fun suggestions...

    Disney Ultimate Marvel Park (DUMP)
Disney Romantic Universes and New Kingdoms (DRUNK)
Disney Adventures in Remarkable Kingdoms (DARK)
Disney Original Paths of Exploration (DOPE)
Disney Roads of Exploration and Cosmic Kingdoms (DRECK)
Disney Institute of New Galaxy Exploration (DINGE)
Disney Romance and Adventures of the Beyond (DRAB)
Disney Ultimate Park of Expanded Dimensions (DUPED)
Disney Realms of Exploration in Alternate Dimensions (DREAD)
Disney Intergalactic Realms and Territories (DIRT)
    Disney Outer Galaxies (DOG)
Disney Interstellar Star Wars Marvel Adventure Land (DISMAL)

Or, perhaps you'd prefer something more cynical?

    Disney Acquisition Replication Kingdom (DARK)
    Disney Orwellian Park Experiment (DOPE)

The Mickey audience is not made up of people; it has no racial, national, political, religious or social differences or affiliations; the Mickey audience is made up of parts of people, of that deathless, precious, ageless, absolutely primitive remnant of something in every world-wracked human being which makes us play with children’s toys and laugh without self-consciousness at silly things, and sing in bathtubs, and dream and believe that our babies are uniquely beautiful. You know…the Mickey in us.

Re: Third Gate name game: What would you call it?

Actually I think that World of Disney would be a pretty good, all-incompasing name, and it could have different lands based on the IP's that they own. Obviously Star Wars land and Marvel land, but there could also be an ESPN land (anyone remember the Michael Vick Experience commercial? THAT would be a hellava ride if anyone ever built it), Narnia (they don't own it, but everyone associates the movies with Disney even though the last one wasn't), and then possibly a Disney villan land. If they had room, they could even bring over something like Mysterious Island from DisneySea. The tricky part would be creating a central hub that was different from Hollywood Blvd over in DCA in order to give guests the "gateway" experience that all Disney parks have. Maybe they could create a Disney Theme Park museum where you could walk through mock-up's of parts of old rides like Journey Through Inner Space or the House of the Future, see original artwork and sketches, see full 1/8ths in scale models, and the Blue Sky Cellar could be relocated (and renamed) and expanded here. I always loved the film One Man's Dream so they could show that there as well, and maybe even also show the great 50th anniversary film with Steve Martin.

Sure they'd have to rename the store in DD but it has the most potential in my opinion.
