Question Third Gate name game: What would you call it?

So for a long time now people have been debating whether or not Star Wars or Marvel or neither or both should take over the mythical and ever present "third gate" at DLR. I've thought about this quite a bit as far as armchair ideas and what not, but I've always struggled with one thing: What would you call the darn thing? Star Wars Park sounds ridiculous. Marvel suffers from it's previous usage in Florida under Islands of Adventure, which is a great name.

So pick your theme, and shout out your ideas for a name!

    1. Marvel only.
    2. Star Wars only.
    3. Both, mix it up!
    4. Noooooooo! Something New!

I honestly don't see how they're going to do it. I think at WDW, it's easy, just add Star Wars, Marvel, and Avatar on to Disney Studios. Make it like you walk down Sunset Blvd to the hub, then enter the world of Star Wars or Avatar or whatever from there. It makes sense, it has a unifying theme to things otherwise not connected to one another, and they have the room.

Here in Anaheim, they couldn't make a 3rd park Disney Studios because DCA is already too much like Disney Studios as it is. They couldn't turn DCA into Disney Studios with Cars Land, Avatar Land, Star Wars Land, and Marvel Land because there isn't room. And I can't think of any other theme that a park can have that would make it make sense to have Marvel and Star Wars in the same park.

There should be a sticky thread called "This Day in Disney History." The company has a long history and this would be a good way to acknowledge it. Walt was born 112 years ago; that's quite a chunk of American history and culture.

Ummm kind of both, but not their own lands. I think a hero/ adventure park involving the two would be pretty cool. As far as the name..Hero City? Hero Kingdom?

Well that'd be something. If they don't use SW or M in a third gate, where at DLR would you put them?

Re: Third Gate name game: What would you call it?

Is anyone else old enough to have read Marvel's Star Wars comics? Came out with first movie, back in 1977. The first six issues were a retelling of A New Hope. Then the series went off in its own direction, but then in three years the story circled around and picked up with TESB. Then it did it again with ROTJ. (I should make clear that no pre-existing Marvel character ever appeared in a Star Wars comic) If the park involves both, I'd call it Realms of Fantasy and Adventure. Then we'd call it REFA.

Also, i'd like to see a Howard the Duck attraction. He and Disney have a history. Disney sued Marcel over Howard, saying he was too much like Donald. The solution? Howard was made to put on pants. I am not kidding. They even did an issue explaining why Howard had to put on pants and a guy who looked an awful lot like Walt was at the center of it. No telling how much that issue is worth now.

If DCA is Eisnerland, than Igerland will be the third park.

    Disney Park

Disney Park 3 at Anaheim Resort

The Parking Lot Formally Known as the Toy Story Parking Lot (TPLFKasTSPL)

Disney Park where Magical Memories are Made and Dreams that you Wish Come True: From the Imaginative Minds of James Cameron, George Lucas, and Stan Lee; Featuring Disney*Pixar (DTPwMMaMaDtyWCT:FtIMoJCGLaSL;FD*P)

Disney OC Adventure (Don't call it that)

    Disney Anaheim Adventure

    Disney Disneyland Resort Area Adventure

    Disneyland the Second~Oswald's Magical Journey

Snow White's Extended Mild to Scary Adventures (ft. Snow White's Castle, Snow White's Wishing Well, Snow White's Scary Adventures, Seven Dwarf's Mine Train, and much more!)

Basically anything without a possessive form of Disney is fair game.

Re: Third Gate name game: What would you call it?

I would like to see the third park get an expansive and flexible name like Disney's World Adventure. Put in four lands based on the four corners of the globe, Europe-Asia-Africa-Latin America, and the rides start falling into place. No, it doesn't make for an obvious land dedicated to either Star Wars or Marvel (put them in TL & DCA), but it does set up nicely for tons of classic Disney properties that still have a lot of marketing pull.
