Re: So what should be the shelf life of a Disney ride?

I think the question of shelf life cannot be discussed at this time. We do not have enough attractions to cycle through to and argue if it was there long enough, too long, or too short especially since there has not been very many E tickets removed from the parks. Come back with this question in 50 years.

I don't think you could put a shelf life on the rides. They're built and adjusted, removed, or refurbished based on how they are received by the public. Some have lasted, others have not.

And holy cow! Space Mountain is my absolute favorite music! I listen to it constantly when I'm home because it's one of the few soundtracks that I can close my eye and imagine every movement on.

especially when one considers the shelf life of a Twinkie
isn't it something like 80 years?

I'd imagine when the attraction loses its attractiveness
I'd read a while ago there was thought of closing the Aladdin show.... we see it probably every quarter, there is always a crowd... it is a fantastic show
I'd hate to see it go because someone decides it has been filling the house for too long
