    Great Movie Ride at DCA

Would anybody else like to see a different version of The Great Movie Ride come to DCA?

I'd love to see that. But then I'd love to see almost any attraction that is that heavy on audio animatronics.

Count me in the minority who say YES. Way better idea than Monstropolis.

I think it could use a big update and it's a fine ride already but shouldn't even be considered clones in it's current state. However I think it would be easy to do something better as it is no longer novel or e ticket worthy.

I like the it is quintessential Hollywood. Hollywood Land would be stronger with the movie genre attraction than with other rumors.

I'm not a big fan of The Great Movie Ride. It was one of the more disappointing attractions at WDW for me. Maybe I had high hopes, but I just didn't think it was very compelling. Despite it being high quality in many respects, I just felt like jumping from scene to scene doesn't make for a very good experience. But if I had to choose between it and Monstropolis, no doubt I'd still choose it.
The Mickey audience is not made up of people; it has no racial, national, political, religious or social differences or affiliations; the Mickey audience is made up of parts of people, of that deathless, precious, ageless, absolutely primitive remnant of something in every world-wracked human being which makes us play with children’s toys and laugh without self-consciousness at silly things, and sing in bathtubs, and dream and believe that our babies are uniquely beautiful. You know…the Mickey in us.

I don't know about the great movie ride but DCA needs more dark rides. Can I get a lengthy boat ride somewhere like POTC or IASW please!!!!!!!!!!

Honestly I personally would like to see something more thrilling, I found RSR disappointing in that respect.

I would be okay with it going in DCA as long as it's drastically changed. I'd like to see it as an indoor boat ride a la Pirates with a couple nice drops like Splash Mountain. DCA needs a long indoor boat ride.

How about more rides that don't exist in other parks? I don't like getting attractions that are in other parks. I don't care how cool they are.

Sorta how I feel too. I would love to see a high quality dark ride in Hollywoodland that does relate to the theme in a way. However if their version of the GMR ended up being nothing but Disney and Pixar films then no thanks. What makes the original GMR so refreshing is that it exposes people young and old to classic movies from different genres without being restricted to one studio.

I've never been on the great movie ride, but I was thinking a ride similar to Hollywood backlot tour at universal with just disney movies (live-action) would be kinda cool.

Re: Great Movie Ride at DCA

I think it'd have to be the ROCKNMOVIE RIDE to get some fans' approval. They want a thrill ride. And DCA could use another thrill ride, I've long advocated for an outdoor flume on the pier (think JET STREAM at Magic Mountain).

But it also lacks a quality DARK RIDE that doesn't push cartoons down your throat.

And a new variation of THE GREAT MOVIE RIDE as a mashup of classic noir, mystery and action movies from Hollywood's Golden Age could serve to really give DCA a sense of place.
