Military Salute Tix: Is Disney Enforcing the Re-Entry ID-Check Rule?

I'd appreciate some advice from other military families out there who have some recent experience using the Military Salute 3-day-hopper tickets ...

My father is retired military. In past visits, he has purchased tickets for me (his son) and his grandkids at his local MWR and then gone with us to the main gate to activate the tickets and enter the park. He is in his 80's, so he doesn't last long in the park and chooses to go home after a short stay. We, however, tend to take full advantage of the day. (He typically doesn't even join us for the 2nd or 3rd days.)

    My question is this ...

In these past visits, my retired father has only needed to show ID upon first activation. I realize that the latest Military Salute offer indicates that Disney has the right to check ID for every re-entry (which seems crazy, given the park hopping that kids can do between the two parks in the same day), but have the Disney Ticket Booths actually changed their procedure? Do they, indeed, demand ID from a member of the party each time a re-entry is used, or do they still only enforce the ID check on the first entry for the military family?

I used the military tickets last October and at that point if you were without the military ID holder you couldn't re-enter the parks even if you already had a handstamp.

Better be safe than sorry and enter with the ID holder each time. Saves a potential headache.

I work at the main entrance. Hi.

Anyway, as of right now, we're told only to check for a military ID on the first entry.

    Things are constantly changing, however.

Friends who were just there said on one day they were only checked on first entry, the next day they were checked each time they entered, and the 3rd day only on first entry.
If you see a cute yellow lab puppy with a yellow cape, WAVE! It might be us! (Or it may be someone else that lurks here!) Thank you for asking before you pet! Next trip, Dec 22-Jan 3rd.

It probably depends on which CM is at the gate.

Whatever you do, do not make a copy of the military ID card and carry it around with you. It is against the law and won't work at the gate as a valid form of ID.

When my Mom went, they checked her ID and took her photo on the first entry; after that they only checked the photo to make sure it was really her (they asked her to take off her hat and sunglasses once or twice, so they really were checking the photo). It should be said that she was the only one who had a military ticket, though; I was accompanying her with my AP.
