Holiday versions of Disneyland rides (Xmas + Halloween)

All this talk of the upcoming Xmas version of Jungle Cruise has got me wondering...if it were up to you which rides do you want to see get a holiday version of and which holiday?

    My Picks

    Halloween:
    Big Thunder Mountain
    Jungle Cruise
    Roger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin

    Christmas:
King Arthur Carousel - probably not very possible to put holiday garland around the horses and stuff
Small World - what currently exists is okay
Haunted Mansion - I would like something more classic and fitting for the Haunted Mansion with no character overlays. In other words I would get ride of The Nightmare Before Christmas stuff. The overlay doesn't work as well as it should.

Toy Story Mania - both holidays could easily work (Christmas and Halloween games!)
Toonaspie: I have Asperger's. I like cartoons. Toonaspie!

I agree with The Haunted Mansion. No character overlays. But I know, sadly, I'm in the minority here.

I believe given the choice, I would overlay one *land* and call it done. Maybe rotate it every year/few years, but still leave most of the park open as it is intended to be rather than an overlayed holiday debacle.

I'm also increasingly anti-Christmas and EXTREMELY anti-Christmas merch, so take that as you will.

Not necessarily overlays, but I'd like to see some Halloween decorations in DCA. There's so much potential.

"AP News Wire: December 13, 2014 Disneyland. Fourteen Disneyland guests died today, apparently after beating their heads against walls and railings until cerebral hemorrhaging rendered them unconscious and then dead. Witnesses report all fourteen guests were in line for Star Tours and shared the same last words - 'Oh God no, not Life Day"."

Star Tours Holiday Special (some of you know to what I refer)

Finding Nemo under the Christmas Tree
(Little Alex asks Santa for a Clownfish....but when he realizes the baby fish misses his family he builds a submarine (from all his old toys) to help the little guy get back to his home)

Mele Kalikimaka....Jurassic style(The T-Rex and his foe, sporting Hawaiian shirts and leis, have put away their differences for the Holiday Season and are now partying like it's 59,999,999 BC. )

Autopia Ice Storm (Children of all ages make their way home for the holidays via an ice covered highway )

Yeah I'm not big on all the Christmas overlays over the top decorations and such. However I like what Halloween brings. Instead of more christmas overlays, I could go for a few more halloween themed ones like the incredible Ghost Galaxy overlay.

Re: Holiday versions of Disneyland rides (Xmas + Halloween)

I don't mind Haunted Mansion Holiday, but I think the pre-Oogie Boogie versions had a stronger ending to the story in that it actually finished the story of Jack's Christmas Party at the Mansion. The Ghost Host's narration tied everything together nicely. Oogie just comes in really abruptly with no buildup at all.

As far as something without Nightmare for a Christmas Mansion goes, I'd be curious to see something done with the original plan of retelling A Christmas Carol.

Re: Holiday versions of Disneyland rides (Xmas + Halloween)

I would like the Carousel with a Holiday overlay. Change the horses out with Christmas decorates ones or Reindeer, garland around the edge of the roof.

TSMM is rather simple and surprisingly not yet done.

I would like one attraction per land for DL. No dual season attractions after HMH.

Re: Holiday versions of Disneyland rides (Xmas + Halloween)

I think overlay's appeal to locals and especially APers, but unless it's all going to be the same quality as Haunted Mansion, I'd rather they not. I personally don't like Ghost Galaxy at all, and I'd hate it if they did something that lame in other rides too (thankfully it's pretty easy to just ignore the Ghost Galaxy part, but it does seem to make the line a LOT longer).
