Re: Where do you like to "hang out" in DLR?

Our number one hang out spot is Trader Sam's.

Other than that, we rarely sit around at the parks unless we're eating. The only other place we've truly "hung out" was 1901, and that was a rare opportunity lol. We've occasionally sat on a bench and people watched in the hub, usually only if one of us needs a break or grabs a snack.

New Orleans Square with coffee and a churro first thing in the morning or mint julep in the heat of the day, a bench near the hub (with a corn dog!).

My new favorite hang out place in DCA is the Animation building. I'd never set foot in there till my last visit about a year ago. I'd read about the illustration classes on some thread here on MiceChat; they were so much fun! And the lobby with the film clips playing is a great respite when your dogs are barkin'.

Garden Grill at DCA is another gem. If you plan it right there is some live music to enjoy, and they have it fairly secluded thanks to the plants they have growing. Very nice place to sit while waiting for someone of Goofy's Sky School or California Screamin'.

I like to hang out with Mr. Lincoln. The two of us have shared many great moments together.

Re: Where do you like to "hang out" in DLR?

In Disneyland I like to be in New Orleans square for the activity, the river and the dixieland jazz. Second to that would be Main Street, especially at the end of the night walking as slowly as possible from hub to train station as the crowds really die down and it's virtually empty. I also like to be in Adventureland at night at times when it's not as crowded because I love the music near Jungle and Indy. In DCA I like being in the Hollywood area quite a bit mainly for Monsters and ToT and I always like to pop in to the animation building for a quick rest. Love it in there!

Re: Where do you like to "hang out" in DLR?

I have no logical reason why,but I love just hanging out in Carsland. It makes me feel comfortable. And I am not a car guy. I did love the movies and just being there makes me feel like I am in the movie more than any other "land". I love the food at Flo's and want to try the Cone food someday. I like it best in the early morning and in the afternoon when the music plays "the song" and the light come on. I spend more time there than anywhere else. I go over to Disneyland for a short time now days. I usually want out after 20 minutes because of the crowds more than anything else. I have had times when I spend all day in DCA and about 90% of that day is in Carsland.

Re: Where do you like to "hang out" in DLR?

I'm usually "go go go" in the parks, but lately I've found that taking some downtime with something to drink or eat really helps keep me from getting too tired by the end of the day. I love the Hungry Bear, the French Market if the band is playing (I have a tradition to always get a Mint Julep and drink it there) or the Main Street Cinema.

Re: Where do you like to "hang out" in DLR?

I'd rather not say, because THOSE are the places that DL management begin to think are the ones that need to be removed from public access, or they completely take away the charm of the area. (Like the upstairs Disney Gallery in New Orleans Square, its outdoor courtyard area, or either of the other two courtyard areas in New Orleans Square. Or the wonder caverns/waterfall area of the Disneyland Hotel, Even the Country Bear Jamboree used to be a great place to hang out. And at WDW, it used to be The Adventurers Club.) No way I letting them know what other area to destroy next!

I like Underneath the Silly Symphony Swings, and also the path to Big Thunder Ranch, along the pond with the jumping fish, I also enjoy sitting at the entrance to pixie hallow and watch the fountain.

We also like to hang out at the viewpoint areas overlooking Grizzly River Run. It's a hoot to try and predict which rafts are gonna get soaked by the geysers.
