    Thanksgiving at Disneyland

Its just our family of four for Thanksgiving this year. No other family will be joining us. So we were thinking of going to Disneyland for the day instead of cooking a huge meal.

Has anyone gone on Thanksgiving before? Is it horribly crowded?
Is there anywhere there to have a traditional thanksgiving meal?

It wasn't the year I went.

No. Not really. I had a cornish game hen at the Blue Bayou but it wasn't at all Thanksgiving-y.

I'd try Storytellers' Cafe' at the Grand Californian Hotel.

2007 the morning was really empty, have been watching other more recent thanksgiving posts and there has never been a crowd problem for folks who know how to tour the park. Friday after is a different story however. We did not eat traditionally and found our two restaurant choices empty for the day. It was a great day for us with NOS in the am and then DCA shows in the afternoon.

It is tradition to go to Disneyland on Thanksgiving for my family and normally it is not crowed, as for thanksgiving dinner options the Plaza Inn has a traditional meal there but can get crowed, normally my family and I have dinner at Rancho de Zocalo because we enjoy the food there, the traditional meal isn't that important to us but our family being together on thanksgiving is

Actually our family will be at Storyteller's Cafe for Thanksgiving this year. We've done this several times in the past. They have a great Thanksgiving buffet that they do with traditional Thanksgiving items as well as other items like prime rib or glazed ham.

We have done storyteller's last year and loved it, but if you want that get reservations now as they fill up quickly. This year we will be there for the day but are going to grab a Thanksgiving meal in the park as we go along

Darn, I was hoping to get adopted before your family told them how many were in your party.

Last year it was easy going until around 11 then it stayed pretty crowded until around 8. We hit Jazz Kitchen in DTD, they had traditional roasted and cajun turkey dinners, pretty good stuff. Most of the resort restaurants have traditional meals, at a hefty price, and are probably fully booked by now.

Turkey legs would be all the thanksgiving I'd need for traditional fare. What they should do is sell some cranberry sauce and mashed potatoes and gravy as a side option with the turkey legs on Thanksgiving day. That would be a hit I'm sure. For that family on the go who wants a little turkey and dressings without having to sit down.
