    Question about a hotel

My family (6 people) has a reservation for one night for the ALamo Inn and Suites. I know it's not going to be up to the level of something I might find on Harbor Blvd., but has anyone stayed here, and what are your honest thoughts? Thanks in advance.

    Re: Question about a hotel

Good luck with that hotel. When I stayed there was the opening of Carsland weekend. I switched my room 3 times. It was just me and my girlfriend. I asked for a room with one bed. Nope we got a room with 2 beds and an extra side room with a bed. Kinda of scary. The place was dirty and smelled like smoke. T.V did not work at all. Then we switched to an other room with one bed. It looked. Like a crack house. The fridge did not work and the t.v was was from the 70s or something. The bath tub was dirty and was stained. Then the final room was okay. But woke up with bed bug bites on my back and legs. Then the final day my girlfriend found bed bugs. But we get what we pay for.

You have to be careful of Motels, sometimes they can be pretty clean, sometimes they can be as dirty as a trash can, best of luck.

What are you paying? You should be able to get something on Priceline that will be better.

My rate is $117, including tax. I've already looked around and I think I can get something better for not terribly too much more.

    Re: Question about a hotel

I just cancelled these and made reservations at the Portofino Inn and Suites. Should be about the same length walk, but it looks like a much better place. Any opinions?

For over 10 years Howard Johnsons has been a Disney Fan Site favorite:

Many "trip report" threads of another Disney fan site ... have said favorable things about it.

Dear Peoplemover Fans, If you want to see a new attraction that at least mimics the 1967 Peoplemover in a future Tomorrowland remodel, you need to write to the powers-that-be, and let them know. If you don't - Then the next time Tomorrowland is remodeled, you will see a land barren of any "Peoplemover" type attraction.
