    Your Dream Refurb Schedule

So you have plans to go to Disneyland and rides will be down. What would be the perfect refurb schedule be to you?

I would like it if these were the rides down

    Autopia
    Nemo Subs
    Gadgets Go Coaster
    Roger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin
    California Screamin
    Tower of Terror
    Flik's Fliers
Frances Lady Bug Spin (don't know the real name)
    Tow Mater Junkyard Jamboree
    Luigi's Tires

All of that, by all means, fix 'em up while I'm there, leave everything else open.

    Re: Your Dream Refurb Schedule

The attractions I wouldn't miss too much if they were down while I'm there would be:

    Dumbo
    Autopia
    Gadget's Go Coaster
    Innoventions
    Fantasmic
    anything in Flik's Fun Fair
    California Screamin
    Goofy's Flight School
    Alladin musical
    Jumpin' Jellyfish

Like what was said before, if they were closed for repairs and fixing up, I'd be fine with it.

    Re: Your Dream Refurb Schedule

Everything in the park shut down one day a week for maintenance and repair by a large, dedicated workforce with divisions of maintenance organized to maximize experience with specific ride systems. I'd be willing to work with that.

Pity noone's ever tried it before. One would think it would result in better maintenance and might possibly prevent coaster coupling failings, detect dry rot and other issues that might potentially cause injuries and/or fatalities.
Credibility is to be sought for. Credulity is not. Sadly the latter is our normal human state.

preventative maintenance is a great idea! Everything *should* be working the 6 days it is open each week, no having AAs down for months until they get around to a full refurb. Plus most people do not go for strictly one day, so instead of missing out on a ride during your 5 day trip because it's closed for a month, you just experience it the following day.

The eh only problem I foresee with this is you'd have 1/7th of the rides available each day, causing increased lines for the available 6/7ths.

Close the parks one day a week.

I know, it's revolutionary and completely untried. But still.

Tarzans Treehouse (so they can "refurb" it back into the Swiss Family Treehouse)

Pooh (so they can "refurb" it into a Country Bear dark ride)

Pirates (so they can remove all mention of Captain Jack Sparrow)

Tom Sawyers Island (so they can rebuild the fort and eradicate all the pirates)

I could go on....but you get the idea

None too. If all of those rides are down, the lines to get on the rides you like are going to be significantly longer.

Close, but not quite. Everything open is best of course, but if some attractions must be down while you are there, I'm curious what would be most ideal to you.

EXACTLY what I was going to say. Keep every ride open and keep people in line for those rides so that the lines are shorter for the ones I want to go on.

    Re: Your Dream Refurb Schedule

Ideally I would like to have nothing closed during a trip, but I wouldn't care if any of these were not available:

    Dumbo
    Peter Pan's Flight
    It's a Small World
    Gadget's Go Coaster
    Innoventions
    Autopia
    Nemo Submarines
    Mad Tea Party

    Luigi's Flying Tires
    California Screamin'
    Soarin' Over California
    Grizzly River Run
    Anything in Bug's Land
    Tower of Terror
Please... put Guardians of the Galaxy in Tomorrowland.
