Re: Diane Disney Miller passes away at 79 (Merged)
I'm glad she was a loyal daughter to my hero, and I'm glad she got to meet with Tom Hanks as he prepared to portray her father.
I love that she honored Walt by so generously helping to give Los Angeles the most excellent Walt Disney Concert Hall. Her representative Ms. Marx called me to thank me after I had a letter about it in the L.A. Times, and I was sent a fancy box of Disney Hall Jelly Bellies as a thank you. And Diane herself called me when I wrote her about getting permission to use the Disney Studios Archives for a paper I was assigned at USC Film School. She was nice and seemed down to earth and happy to talk about her dad with me.
