Re: How Do You React When a Show Gets Cancelled?

I think people need to get over them selves... if you spent the whole day in the park and one show is cancelled, you don't deserve any money back. Its rude to make those comments to cms to begin with, as if they shut the show off. Tough monkeys its part of life, just like when u have a flat tire, wasn't ur fault, wasn't the citys fault, just s***t happens

I think you put Depression one slot early.
Credibility is to be sought for. Credulity is not. Sadly the latter is our normal human state.

    That what I do.

With some great fortune I've never been evacuated off a ride. But sometimes I walk up and it closes as I am about ready to enter the queue. I just keep walking.

Fireworks are often canceled. When I'm waiting for the show, and get "wind" of it being canceled, I try to get out of there and onto a ride quick. Beat the other guests to a ride before they all get in line too.

Re: How Do You React When a Show Gets Cancelled?

I was there one time watching the fireworks from the hub when they were cancelled due to "winds at higher elevations". So we decided to go to Tomorrowland and go on Space Mountain. As we were walking there we noticed flashes of light in the sky behind Innoventions. And then I realized it was a Friday night in the summer and the flashes of light were coming from the fireworks show that the Angels have after their Friday home games. Go figure...

Different angles, where the fallout will land.... If there are high winds blowing one direction, Disney's can go, but the opposite, they can't..

I think with Disney hiking the Premiums up $150+ in a years time compared to the % they up'd them through the years… People are going to expect PERFECTION. If disney wants to play the "elite" pricing game, then people are going to feel more entitled…

I usually make a big ol scene & start saying stuff I should not say. I usually get the people around me to start chanting "refund" & "this is not fair".

People just tend to have strong visceral reactions especially in crowds. Let them moan and boo, I doubt they actually went to city hall.

Re: How Do You React When a Show Gets Cancelled?

As an APer, I just say "Eh. I've seen the show 5+ times already anyways." Then I tell my friends, "Yes! Now everyone's going to go to their hotel rooms/home an the lines are going to be shorter." It's sad but true.

Depends on the show XD World of Color, Fireworks, Fantasmic, being able to go to Disney anytime is not a problem if I missed one show. But, there is one show that I go to see every time. The Aladdin Show. Now, that, I'd be crying.

Re: How Do You React When a Show Gets Cancelled?

Unfortunately, I cannot get an AP, but considering when I was an AP holder for Universal and was in a similar situation where a show got cancelled, I kind of just went, "Aw" and moved on. I even sort of worried what went wrong (since it was going).

Of course, everyone's situation is different. As someone pointed out they don't have a lot of free time on their hands. However, to me, I thought to myself I could go again in the future! At least as an AP you have more of a chance to see it again than if you're someone who bought only a day, or two in the park.

If it's the fireworks, we find a nice place away from Main Street to avoid the rioting...
