Would you remove It's Tough To Be A Bug and TOT from DCA and more than half of the rides at WDW's Magic Kingdom? Granted, there should be a balance between original and cloned rides.

Aso for the mine train, I guess the motorboat lagoon makes the most sense, but remember, that's part of the parade route, so you have to take into consideration that the line for the mine train can't get mixed up with the people waiting to see the parade. I think a two-story indoor queue would probably be the way to go with that.
The static parade line would just have to keep close watch and junp out of the way quickly each time the Mine Train makes its way through. toot toot!

Mickey's PhilharMagic and Nission: Space would be the only two clones that would excite me. But WDI would have to go on a real Mission to find the Space.

Here here now! Dopey was hired on 'cause he's the youngest and healthiest Dwarf.

Yeah. WDW can keep them....unless they decide to do something different and blend the inferior two rides so that guests can travel on fast legged raptors on the new Dinosaur Trek.

Great idea here! .... wait! Which attraction has the one-of-a-kind ride system and layout?

All things need to be in balance; from soup to swiveling mine trains.

It's a lot longer ride, and specifically during the "racing" part of the ride Test Track feels like it is twice as long as RSR. I think the beginning part of Test Track 1.0 was dumb (haven't been on 2.0), and I hated that you could see backstage, but the ride itself is awesome and definitely one of my top five Disney rides of all time.
I've been on Indy many times, but have never set foot on Dinosaur. I'll definitely try it out when I go to Animal Kingdom.

ORWEN: This is one time I'd like an attraction to be unique at the Magic Kingdom. If Disneyland decided to go ahead and take your idea seriously it would most likely mean getting rid of the Snow White dark ride and I still haven't gotten over the fact that Florida no longer has a Snow White dark ride. Somehow the dwarf coaster isn't enough to replace Snow White's Scary Adventures for me.

It saddened me when Florida's Magic Kingdom removed the Snow White darkride due to the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. If the original darkride were to be removed due to the cloning of the Mine train, I would be completely against the Dwarfs Train train like you sisters.

Don't you think we should see how the 7DMT is received at WDW before we start clamoring for it here? I'm OK with clones -as long as the newest version is an improvement. Disney hasn't always done this. WDW's PotC is the best example of this. But frankly I'm a little tired of the whole mine train thing and I'd rather see something else -say an enclosed family coaster themed to Aladdin's flying carpets.

Move Roger Rabbit to DCA's Hollywood backlot first.

Use the Monsters Inc building for RR and repurpose the Monsters aa's for a door coaster in the old ToonTown show building.

IMHO Toontown never seemed to fit in Disneyland so I wouldn't mind seeing it replaced. But I doubt RRCS would ever be moved to DCA. There been too much controversy and legal issues surrounding the film to warrant that. And how many kids have actually seen Who Framed Roger Rabbit? I know the same could be said of Song of the South but Splash Mountain is only tangentially related to the movie. But they could turn Toontown into Aladdin's Land -with RRCS re-tooled as Aladdin's Enchanted Passage, Gadget's Go Coaster re-tooled as the Flying Carpets Over Agrabah and the whole area re-themed as Agrabah Marketplace with new eateries as shops selling all kinds of Aladdin-themed items.

If the designing of Aladdin's Enchanted Passage is to be carried out as a retooled spinning vehicle darkride like Roger Rabbit....then, you've sold me on it.

I'm not entirely against the idea of cloning - I think it's great that you can ride BTMRR at every park - but I prefer when the attractions have their own local style, even when they're based on an existing ride. It's cool that Phantom Manor, the HM in Florida and the HM in California are all different, for instance.

I think the danger comes when you have too many cloned rides. If you can go on exactly the same stuff in Disneyland, WDW and Disneyland Paris or Tokyo, there's really no point in ever making a trip away from your home park. You don't have separate entities anymore; you just have the exact same product plunked down in different locations.

Like you Malina, in any given themepark I prefer a balance between unique rides and clones. Love your coined phrase "local style". You have my complete agreement that any and all cloned rides suould indeed have their own localized style....unique elements that make evey ride a memory that is appealing to one's intelect as well as emotions.
