Red Face Candy Canes & Candlelight Processional Going Solo

I'm going up this Saturday 7th for the Candlelight & try to get a Candy Cane. So obviously planning an all day adventure

Anyone else going this day? I'm going solo & would love one to pal around with.

Contemplating doing the Holiday Tour too.
A bad day at Disneyland is better than a good day at work. But who ever heard of a bad day at Disneyland?

I did that combo last year but went home between getting my wristband and my return time. Just make sure you get there early...at least be at the gates 15-30 minutes before they open, and hope you are in line behind pass holders, not multi-day tickets as it will slow down your entry time with them taking and/or checking pictures.

Yeah, I plan on getting there early. From stuff I've read, most people don't know they are doing it as DCA too & the crowds for there haven't been too bad, so fingers crossed.

But I won't get to do the Holiday Tour as it's sold our for Fri & Sat.
Last year you could buy the tour & get in the seating for the Candlelight, but that's not an option this year.

Guess I'll be camping out for a good spot for the Candlelight. I wish they had dinner packages like they do at WDW. I'd gladly pay for a for sure spot with clear viewing & not have to wait around or sit on the ground, it gets to cold for old bones LOL.

The problem is they simply don't have enough seating to do dinner packages. Plus, they sell you a $100 dinner with seats to the performance, you eat the meal, then the show rains out, everyone wants a refund.

We will be there also! I am debating the candy cane thing too...
If you see a cute yellow lab puppy with a yellow cape, WAVE! It might be us! (Or it may be someone else that lurks here!) Thank you for asking before you pet! Next trip, Dec 22-Jan 3rd.

The candy canes are quite a steal! For about the price of a Knott's AP, you can get SIX of them!

From Andy Castro's Dec. 2, 2013 weekly update:

"If you don’t want to get to the parks that early, Disney is selling pre-made candy canes. They are made with the same technique and same ingredients, just off-stage and not on the same day you buy them."

Before you respond, "I'd rather have six candy canes than a Knott's AP," please answer, would you pay $77.70 (not including tax) for six Disneyland candy canes?

(I'm kind of defensive in my love for Knott's!)

Hey, for just $103.60 you could (if there were no sales tax) buy
    8
    Disneyland
    candy canes!!!! !!!!
    JJJJ JJJJ
Imagine the look on your family members' and co-workers' faces when you hold up eight of them and announce that they cost about $110!

And these aren't the little kind usually put on trees, no these are thicker than standard pencils, and look at how they dwarf that CD case above!

I think Sunday will be busy regardless of if it rains....

    I'll be there Saturday too.

It'll be in the low 40*s when I get in line for the candy canes & the high 40*s when I see the Candlelight Processional.

Just bought new gloves & scarves & stuff dug out my heavier Disney sweatshirt & have an extra thermal packed.
I swear the longer I live in Cali, the more of a whimp I am when it gets cold LOL (originally from Virginia, where it snows) *spoiled by the sunshine*

    Too bad it's a limit of 1 though. I need 2, I have 2 nephews.

They will also have the "premade" candy canes. They are identical. Difference, they are made off site (2 years ago at Marcelines) and you don't get to watch them being made. A couple years ago, I got 2 from the batch and 2 premade. Couldn't tell the difference.
