Actually I'm hearing a blend of the Theme Park Orchestration with the regular one.

^Same. Before, Elsa repeated the same lyrics before "Let the storm rage on." before the switch. Now, the lyrics are the same from the movie. All I really noticed in changes for the orchestration was the small interlude before "My power flurries through the air...".

the tech behind the snowflakes boggles my mind. How could they shape foam and cause it to rise in the air?

The snowflakes that Disney uses are called flogo clouds. Flogo Clouds are synthesized from a proprietary surfactant based foam formulation and lighter than air gases. They can travel for miles and last up to an hour depending on the atmospheric conditions.

This is pretty darn cool. They always seemed like ballons that were blown up during show time and then let go on cue.

The 7:45 shows were for Annual Passholders. I don't think I have any times guides from those weeks, but I don't think they were listed for park guests.
It's actually "Cars Land", not "Carsland".

Actually, they did add 7:45pm shows for regular guests. See the discussion in this thread: What time does the 7:45p WofC Fastpass generally sell out? Going Sunday, 11/23...

Not exactly. They changed which parts of the song they used and in what order, and they no longer repeat certain parts of it, but otherwise the show retains its additional arrangement and orchestration elements. The latter are mostly based on what is in the song in the movie, but place different emphasis on various sections and add a few musical cues that aren't in the movie version at all. The show's version still goes to the big horns way early, for example, instead of gradually building toward them.

No, unless it has been changed yet again, people are still hearing two different things, although the two versions may sound very slightly more similar because of the tweaks that were made.

By the way, more than a few people have said that they favored the WOC version, and I can understand why, but the movie version fits the movie so much better, building up and backing off at exactly the right times to create dramatic tension. The live show version (also used in WDW) is, appropriately enough, better suited for the requirements of live shows.
