I might want to do the (nearly) impossible...

Well, I just got back from DL, and boy, that was quite a crowd joyride.

Anyways, for one reason or another, the Disneyland geek in me wanted to do one thing THIS week: try and get all the Disneyland attractions in one day.

Here are the rules I would set for myself:

    1) Fastpass and Single Rider are okay to use.
    2) If there are continuous shows of something, then it counts. A show with scheduled showtimes only counts if it is on the attractions list (i.e. Fantasyland Theater).
    3) Meet and greets do NOT count (thus excluding Pixie Hollow and the Royal Hall off the list).
    4) If an attraction has certain conditions, please take them into consideration.
    a) The railroad must be ridden all the way around to count for all the stops.
    b) Each of the Main Street Vehicles count as one attraction.
    c) Any attraction that has a free walk-in/walk-out timespan still counts no matter how long you are in there (i.e. Innoventions, Starcade, or Main Street Cinema).
    d) All the Rivers of America transport are their own attraction.
    e) Any ride under refurbishment does not count against you.
    f) If a ride is broken down, it does NOT mean that you can take it off the list. Simply come back later.

My plan is to do this some time mid-week, so from Tuesday to Thursday, I'll consider it. Anyone know if it will it be packed or not? Any other rules I should set, or any tips? Thanks!

Isn't that what the Gumball rally is all about? You should check that out under "Events". Groups of people do something like this in the spring, I believe.

The best advice I could give since you want *this* week is try Thursday - there's a chance of rain. That may help keep the crowds dow,n definitely if it actually does rain.
Credibility is to be sought for. Credulity is not. Sadly the latter is our normal human state.

I DID try to come this year, but I was unable to due to real life Plus, I'm trying to go solo, so I will have more freedom to have my say in it.

This week's probably a bad week to try it. If you get there when it opens, you can probably get through a ton in the morning, but by lunchtime it's gonna be packed. Second week of Jan would be easier. Although, by then there will be way more refurbs so the list shrinks, making it even easier, which might feel like cheating.

Sounds very possible and fun. Maybe Fantasyland as the last stop would save time due to all the children and parents in the area.

It will be a little busy so that will make it difficult. Plan carefully to get rides that load slow done early, and while waiting on FP.

    a. Consider riding in segments as long as you do all 4. You may want to ride it into the park, and then ride it out.
    b. Remember these will close and hour before the parade, so don't delay.
    c. That's a bit cheap, try to make a lap in it, or touch the back wall. Or skip those altogether and focus on rides. They could be a bonus, as could making a wish in the well, coin presses, visiting a character....
    d. likewise on the island break it up into parts, like cave is one, rocking chair another, fort is another, treasure is another.

While Thursday may be best for crowds, I'd aim for Tuesday or Wednesday. Also if it rains remember stuff is going to close, so you may want to hit risky things earlier.

It will be a challenge (but a fun one!) especially since crowds are getting worse as it is getting closer to Christmas. Wednesday and Thursday the park is open for an extra hour, so I'd lean toward Wednesday!

Also, take advantage of single rider, you'll save especially on Matterhorn (Indy it can be just as long or longer than FP, if they do it, sometimes they don't and Splash will be short toward the end of the evening. I'd do FL first, start with PP, then do dumbo, then mr toad, then the other two. You should be able to knock all 5 out within 45-60 minutes at the start of the day if you are there for rope drop

Good luck! If I were a betting man I'm afraid I'd have to bet against you, but I hope I'm wrong and you make it!

UPDATE: Well, after today's crowd predictions in Norman's photo report, what do you guys suspect?

I'd still go with Tuesday or Wednesday and not bet on the weather for Thursday. On Thursday if it isn't raining early people won't delay going in, and if it doesn't rain hard they won't all leave. Hard and immediate rain makes a difference.

UPDATE: I am going tomorrow morning! I've checked crowd calenders, forecasts, etc. and have found that tomorrow seems the less maddening.

    Wish me luck Micechat!
