None of those type of shows ever seem to be that busy.
Part of why as much as for YEARS I would have easily called Muppets my favorite thing in DCA (until TOT, natch), I'll be sad but unsurprised when it and TTBAB go by the wayside. They're fun, but they're not keeping the audience rolling in the doors. I can't honestly remember the last time I've had to wait a full show cycle for Muppets, let alone a full house.
It's not scheduled or confirmed in any verifiable sense as leaving, but it doesn't draw anywhere near what it did shortly after Jackson's death, and definitely not what it did at the height of the ride's initial run.
Speculation starts circling rides that underperform at that level like vultures around a carcass.
Any idea? It is never busy, would love to see it changed out finally!
It doesn't appear that they have the budget laying around for the amount it would take to upgrade the Magic Eye Theater for a replacement (digital projection at a minimum) so Eo may be the best likely resident unless we want to see it shuttered. I don't imagine "Honey I Shrunk the Audience" would be any more popular than "Captain Eo" at this point.
