We were in the ATIS building when two of my friends forced open the door and got out. They yelled at some folks in the store then ran back towards the ATIS loading area. We lost sight of them as we headed toward the Starcade.

As we were cruising around over the Autopia we could see that they entered a car three trains back. When we returned to the loading area we saw several CMs waiting. They asked us if we knew them and we said we did, but they are idiots. We left and rejoined our GFs who were at the bottom of the speedramp. We watched our two adventures escorted backstage. I had two GFs for the rest of the night and they didn't seem to miss them.

Several years later I heard of a guy who was killed doing the same thing on the PM. It wasn't my friend, he's still alive (by pure luck).

Oh no! So a couple of your friends got taken into Disney jail, aye? That probably made for a very interesting night!!! LOL

Anyways, we were watching the first performance in front of the Emporium and having fun. We were mouthing the words of the soundtrack and I was mimicking the choreography. Almost all of the performers noticed and winked or smiled I my direction. I was having a ball. Then came the Mary Poppins unit, which is probably my favorite. So I continued doing the dance moves and then one of the chimney sweeps jokingly started to hand me his broom told me, "Would you like to have a go? it's pretty hard." After the parade ended, we quickly ran across town square and watched the parade as it went through the parade gates. This time, ALL of the chimney sweeps pointed at me and gave a big smile.

As if that wasn't Soundsational overload, we watched the second performance over by Small World. This time, both my girlfriend and I were both mouthing the lyrics and attempting the dance moves and roughly 80% of the performers recognized us from the first performance! They would be waving at all the other guests but when they noticed us, they got a genuine look of surprise and smiled the biggest smile and frantically waved/pointed us out.

Not only were these my favorite performances of Soundsational, but it was also a great way to remember my 120th visit to the parks. We made sure to leave a comment card at City Hall and couldn't stop thanking the entire cast.
Awww! I love it when the parade characters remember you! How fun!!

Anyway I thought the mom was really shamelessly rude. obviously we are waiting too and just because your son walked in front of us doesn't give you the right to use him as an excuse to cut us. Sometimes I forget Disneyland is part of the real world where some people are not polite :/

Now that's just frustrating! I can't believe someone would do that!

No need to feel bad, I laugh about most of these now, except that California Adventure thing. Even though that doesn't bug me or traumatize me, it definitely was inappropriate and illegal on the guys behalf. Things could have been much worse.

I've been there too. However, last trip (holiday 2013), I had several kids wander in front of my daughter and me while we were in line (different attractions), and the parents called them back. Just when I think there's no hope for kids today.........

^Thank God some parents still understand and honor their parental duties! I don't like to gripe about it (because that can lead me down some extensive rants), but I have had far too many experiences, at the parks, where kids were obviously misbehaving, right where there parents could see them, and the parents did noting about it. Worse yet, some parents get really snotty when you point out that there kid is doing something to lessen others' fun or is being destructive to that which doesn't belong to them. I've been sorely tempted to put them (the parents, that is) over my knee and give them a spanking. <deep breath...>

OK I have a funny/horrifying story, last time I was on IASW there was a kid in the boat in front of me that had one of those long lolly pops with a Mickey head on the end and he kept dipping it in the water and putting it back in his mouth! His mother was completely oblivious, I had to resist the urge to shout "NOOOOOO!!! Stoppp!" But, my friends and I were laughing really hard and we didn't want to ruin the magic

First of all, I'm a new member. Hi! Second of all, one day at disneyland we were about to get in line for Splash Mountain, when it started raining. My sisters and mom wouldn't go on because of this, so it was just me and my Uncle who chose to ride it. Somewhere before Slippin Falls, the raining stopped. On the drop, for some reason now water landed on us. So by the time we got off, my sisters and mom were more wet then we were!

Reminds me of the kids I'd see at the zoo drinking out of the swan/flamingo/monkey pools on a hot day - while their parents watched.
