    Re: Southern California Discount Hoppers

I'm surprised the residency part would apply to every guest and not just the person buying the passes. Seems awfully cumbersome for CM's to adminster. Besides, are they going to ID a 5 year-old?

I saw the small print, too, but figured the government ID language was because they take photographs of guests who have a multi-day park ticket, which would obviously apply to these 2 and 3-day SoCal Discount tickets.

I just can't see the logic behind turning away a family of 4, plus one guest from out of town because the out of town guest (who could be a visiting child) can't produce a government ID showing CA residency. Doesn't make sense.

Perhaps a Front Gate CM will chime in soon to clarify.

So we were able to use the passes. She asked of they were a gift and we said yes. Then she processed them. It seems like it is up to the cast member at the ticket booth. So look for a friendly one!

no. sadly there is a lot of mis-information even from CM's on the phone. Many times at the ticket booths guests will say "well...""They"" told me on the phone" - No one can ever figure out who "they" is.

One Socal Resident can buy up to 5 tix.

Just to clarify, did you buy the tickets online or at the ticket booths? Also, did your dad go in with you guys as well as a group through the park gates?

I'm bumping this up to hopefully get an answer to this question! Were your tickets purchased at the gates or online? If purchased online was your dad present with you at the gates?

    Re: Southern California Discount Hoppers

We purchased them at the gates and then went through the lines. They never asked for any of our ID except perhaps my Dad when he purchased them. We tried to buy online but my billing address on my CC is not in the right area code so it blocked me from buying them.

    Hope that helps.
