    Southern California Discount Hoppers

My Dad loves to take us to the parks when we come to visit him. In the past when there were Southern California Discount Tickets, he could buy them for us as well. He just had to show his ID when we all went in. Are the new tickets the same way or does every guest need to be from Southern California?

This would save $250 if that is the case.

    Thank you!

    The official site says:

May purchase up to 5 tickets per person per day with valid ID.

To me that means one person with an ID could purchase 5 discount tickets. If anyone know anything more, i'd like to hear, as I will be taking out of towners a few times over the next few months

One local person can buy 5 tickets at a time - the rest of your party does not need to be from SoCal.

    Re: Southern California Discount Hoppers

Did you do that with the new tickets? We have done this in the past but the website says that everyone in the party has to bring I.d. Is this for all tickets now?

" Tickets valid only for Southern California residents within ZIP codes 90000-93599 and Northern Baja California residents within ZIP codes 21000-22999 and proof of residency is required for admission. "

    And

"Please ensure all Guests in your party remember to bring a valid government issued photo ID when entering the Disneyland Parks. You may be asked to show a valid government issued photo ID and, if applicable, payment card(s). Failure to do so may result in denial of admittance to the theme parks, and/or denial of other rights and entitlements."

I would like to know how this is working this year as well. I wasn't planning on going to DL this year, but of my SoCal sister can get us discounted tickets I might change my mind.

It is confusing because it says must be a So Cal resident but then allows you to buy five tickets. I'm a So Cal resident so I can buy five but can I give them to non So Cal resident friends??

In the past, as long as the SoCal friend entered the park with you it was covered but now it says for everyone to bring ID. Does everyone have to bring ID with regular tix?

The other day I spoke with a Booking CM via the website. I was helping my grandma price a trip and the chat option appeared. I decided to ask her about these tickets and she said that every adult would have to present proof of residency.

Thank you Poisonedapples for my my my signature!!!

So much conflicting information out there. I called the ticket office today and they said as long as the person purchasing the tickets was a So-cal resident they can buy up to five tickets and out of area users were fine... I will find out for sure Wednesday as I am out of area and they bought me a So-cal ticket...
