Sad My confession - I own DL

Or at least I feel like it. I was born in 56 in the OC ast St. Joes. My parents took me when I was just a baby. I practically grew up in the park, was there all the time. I have watched it grow and evolve over time. I have had an AP since the begining. I FEEL like it's my park, I own it, but I know in reality it belongs to all of us. The problem is I don't like to share my things and DL is one of them. I have to admit I REALLY struggle with aot of the changes and the crowds, that I feel impede on me in my park.

    I know, I need help.

I wish I could own it so I could fix all of the mistakes made by management in recent years.

Kick all those people out of the park!!
Then, you can invite your close firends to enjoy it.

Don't feel bad at all! I get this way a lot too.

I've been an AP since I was in second grade. Throughout my elementary days I was always teased for liking Disney and ESPECIALLY Disneyland.

Now I'm a junior in high school. Although it's a completely new crowd, it really bothers me that some of the school's "popular kids" are also AP's, but I know I have to share.

It bothers me because after being mercilessly teased, I felt like I earned my right to be able to say "I love Disney and everything about it from the parks to the movies to the music as well as the people who helped create it all" after all these years. Now I'm surrounded by people who are more along the lines of "I love Disney because I have an Annual Pass."

These days, you technically don't own the park unless you are a Disney stockholder and even then it's less than a fraction of a percent.

    Less than any fraction?
If so, then my math knowledge tells me that is 0%. (Or lower!)

Being a stockholder also means that you're leaving the operation of the company to others, which you (and some big stockholders) can fire if you don't like the way they're running things. And those you leave the operation to will keep you out the park if you don't (somehow) pay to get in.
    So, there.

Unfortunately those "mistakes" have resulted in record crowds, sales, and resort hotel capacity levels. Mistakes to many of us, justified decisions to the bean counters.

    This +1.

Ah, summer nights! Yet another part of the Disneyland experience of old that was so special.

I was just curious what the reason is for closing at midnight rather than 1 a.m.

I often chose night shifts while a CM and remember those 1 a.m. closes fondly. Heck, when I started the park was still closed on Mondays and Tuesdays during the off season too.

Why did they change the operating hours to 12 midnight, and for how long has it been that way?
