It's almost been 50 days since we have had rain in n.ca. Mandatory 20% water cuts already! with rumors flying of going up to 50%.

    Such lovely pictures.

I did not know they had a rainy day version of the parade! I thought you were joking until I saw the pictures. Very cool.

It is some what a challenge because the boat is moving pretty quick and you have to be ready to take the shot and I'm using manual focus. I have the camera set to take 6 shots per second, so I just take lots of shots and hope I get one thats in focus and well lit. Trust me I have way more bad photos than good at the end of the ride.

Most modern DSLR's also have shake reduction technology, but I don't know the extent of "shake" they reduce. Canon & Nikon have shake reduction in the lenses, but Pentax has it the camera body no mater what lens is attached.

It hasn't rained in So Cal since December 19th. As of today, that's a staggering 35 days!

The forcast for Anahiem is light showers Sun afternoon/evening. Maybe it will help with the cleaning of Space Mountain building

Re: Pix from a rainy day in December

I went to the park on 19th of Dec when it rained. I had no idea there was a rainy day parade, so I never bothered to check. I thought they just cancelled it.

We did see the normal Christmas parade later in the evening when the rain had stopped. I really enjoyed the park in the rain. Especially getting breakfast at the Carnation Cafe while it rained and watching the crowds go by, was great (you can still sit outside under the covering if the rain isn't too bad). Everything felt more slow paced and relaxing. Probably helped that it wasn't a downpour.

Not really rain, but rather "sprinkles."

It drizzled this morning, although I'm a bit south of Anaheim. So perhaps not there. (It wasn't during park hours in any event.)

"Rain" is water falling from the sky. Scary, I know.

Looks like we will finally get some good rainy days at Disney this week! Break out the ponchos, umbrellas and trashbags.
