This movie is looking very promising to me. I feel like this will hit home with a lot of hardcore Disney fans with the nostalgia factor. Any chance we see Tom Hanks in a Walt Disney cameo? That would just be epic.

This does look very interesting that they're recreating the 1964 New York World's Fair. Also that they're doing this during the 50th Anniversary of that fair as well. It could be they chose It's Small World at Disneyland for space reasons. You couldn't put all that blue screen they are using in front of the one at Disney World.

Would be cool if they could had Tom Hanks as Walt re-enact the EPCOT film in the Tomorrowland movie. I can't wait for the first trailer!

funny they probably wont use the real TL because well it sort of lacks a theme. I guess they could always CG it and give us a glimpse of what it could be.

I got your teaser trailer template right here. Just switch out the objectivism with that optimistic futurism Walt had and there you go.

I'm actually kind of hoping for a Tom Hanks/Walt cameo. That would be cool. But at the same time, would kinda-sorta take Mr. Banks out of the reality it was grounded in.

But it's interesting. Both Banks and Tomorrowland are set in similar eras, but while Banks was based on history, Tomorrowland is much more "What-if?" Either way, I'm really liking this trend of setting movies in the 60s and recreating the period, then filming at Disneyland.

Well, WDW's version of Small World is different than Disneyland's. Whereas in Anaheim, there's a flume trough for the boats to travel & through, WDW's version has "flooded" rooms.

I believe the World's Fair version was a flume like DL's. So DL is more accurate, compared to WDW, to represent the World Fair version.

Well dang, we are going from the 5thru thru the 8th for my daughter's 3rd and hubby's 31st birthday. I was hoping to score him a ride on the lily belle. He's been trying since we got passes last April and this is our last trip for the year.

I am guessing they set up the blue screens to make this:

to look like the first two pics here:

There are more pics of IASW filming from http://mintcrocodile.blogspot.com/

They've already done World's Fair exteriors for It's a Small World. Why would they need to do World's Fair exteriors in Disneyland with a much different exterior. They even recreated the World's Fair signage in previous exterior filming. This has to be something else, right?

The Lilly Belle is unfortunately out of service right now for refurbishment and won't be back until May I believe is what I heard. I think those blue "screens" on Small World are for something else. The queue at the World's Fair seems very simplistic and it doesn't make sense as to why they would go through all the trouble of covering up a section of Disneyland's IASW facade when they could do that at a soundstage elsewhere.

Ahh, so that's why Small World is closed during my trip.

Oh well. As long as I can still do everything I wanted to I won't be bummed to have filming going on while I'm there. It seems like filming it going to be pretty isolated.
Please... put Guardians of the Galaxy in Tomorrowland.
