I am going to Disneyland, then going to jail!

WENATCHEE — A 20-year-old Wenatchee felon asked his probation officer’s permission to go to Disneyland, got turned down — then went anyway, and posted photos of the trip on Facebook.
Prosecutors say Emmanuel Torres Galvez, 20, traveled to Disneyland along with the girlfriend he’s accused of battering, despite a protective order barring him from contact. His trip violated his bail conditions and sent him back to the Chelan County Regional Justice Center on Wednesday, doubling his bond to $40,000 from the $20,000 he’d already put up.
Torres was charged Dec. 10 with second-degree domestic violence assault, third-degree malicious mischief and felony harassment. Wenatchee police say he attacked his girlfriend over text messages he found on her phone, and tried to push her off the garage roof of an Elliott Avenue house. Torres then allegedly smashed the phone and threatened to break the woman’s neck if he was sent to jail over the incident.
Torres bonded out of jail the same day he was charged. He was under state Department of Corrections supervision for his 2012 criminal convictions: three counts of third-degree assault in a case related to the March 2012 stabbing death of Osvaldo Ramirez in East Wenatchee, and one of gang-related witness tampering in Wenatchee.
The primary defendant in the Ramirez killing, Jorge “C-Loc” Sanchez Sanchez, was sentenced to six and a half years in prison for first-degree manslaughter.
After bonding out of jail Dec. 10, Torres asked his DOC officer if he could travel to Disneyland, but was denied. His terms of release in the domestic violence case restricted his travel to Chelan and Douglas counties.
But Torres made the trip, posting travel photos to Facebook which were later spotted by Wenatchee police officers. He admitted the violation to his DOC supervisor, said deputy prosecutor Gene Pearce.
Torres’ public defense attorney, Jeremy Ford, sought to keep his bail low as Chelan County Superior Court Judge Lesley Allan considered the matter Wednesday.
“We don’t believe he’s a flight risk …” Ford began.
“Other than trips to Disneyland?” Allan said.
“Well, he did return, Your Honor, in a timely manner,” Ford replied.
Torres, named by police in 2012 as a Colonia Chiques gang member with the nickname “Lil Tone,” said nothing. He’s due for trial in the assault case March 11.

It was a joke. I couldn't care less about the social clubs. What they do is their business.

The amount of people who shoot themselves in the foot with Facebook posts is crazy.

I also thought this was crazy:
Prosecutors say Emmanuel Torres Galvez, 20, traveled to Disneyland along with the girlfriend he’s accused of battering, despite a protective order barring him from contact.
This must drive the DA and the cops crazy. They are working in the best interest of this girl and she repays them by still seeing this guy...

Well, I'm not sure making jokes at their expense is an example of "what they do is their business.."
