Re: Radiator Springs Racers Terrible Queue Music

You have my sympathy. Sometimes the wrong music can grate. I've never cared for any of the music tracks on Space Mountain, for example, nor the fact of it even *having* a music track (space is silent). And that's only a few minutes, let alone the two hours you waited in line.

Annoying queue music? The Matterhorn's endless yodelling comes to mind (which I think is gone now), as well as Mad Tea Party's continuous loop of "A Very Merry Unbirthday" on the tootiest woodwinds they could find.

Honorable mention goes to Magic Mountain's Riddler's Revenge's techno loop, which to the uninitiated sounds like the same few seconds repeated infinitely.

You ever hear Ralph Garman and Kevin Smith do their impression of the guy stuck on Small World? It would sound pretty much like that.

I personally love the queue music, but I respect your opinion. I can see the music being annoying for others.

Roar? No, spaceships on the inside, like computers, go beep beep beep.

Not my spaceship. Every door opens with a sigh of contentment at a job well done, the computer keeps a special eye out for everyone's needs with a sense of humor and love for Noel Coward songs, and the ship's robot has special personality implant chips to make it a more relatable Happy Robot Pal.

I kind of enjoy the tunes they play, it goes with the scenery/ambience for the ride/Cars Land! To each his own I suppose.

I don't really have a problem with the music in the RSR queue, granted there is usually so much noise from the vehicles and the other guests that you can't hear it very clearly. I don't have a problem with any music loop at DLR (including IASW and the white noise of SM) but this is the age of digital electronics where people usually pop in their headphones and can listen to something else while waiting. I've even done this before when for example it's really noisy in the park and sometimes I'll listen to attraction soundtracks or area music loops through my headphones as to eliminate the background noise but basically you could listen to anything else pretty much while waiting with a MP3 player, you don't have to listen to the crowds or the bgm playing.

The music in the RSR queue reminds me of Knott's. Actually that whole area reminds me of Knotts.

Truth be told, I too am dissappointed in the music from Cars land.

It's supposed to be like music from the real Radiator Springs of the 60s.

I have no problem with it. The annoying part should be the long long wait to ride.

I don't know that the music is all that bad in as much as you just get tired of it and want to get on with the ride!

Huh. Can't say I've ever noticed the music being a problem.
